I was booked at IBIS during my official trip to our office at SIPCOT. The best selling point of the hotel was its proximity to my work location and the availability of pick-up and drop. This made life very convenient without hassles. I was able to plan my work and with one call was assured of safely coming back to room. The next best thing about the hotel is the view. We can actually see the sea if we are in the higher floors and take odd numbered rooms. It was a wonderful feeling especially early in the morning. Loved it a lot. The last but not the least was the service. Special mention for Anusha who went the extra mile to ensure we are comfortable. She understands the requirement and instead of waiting for request, she suggests options, which makes it very comfortable. Her smile is infectious and her efficiency is awesome. I think it is the people like her which makes this property a great place to live in. Thanks again team IBIS SIPCOT. You rock.

I stayed over in order to attend a training nearby and this was the closest hotel from the venue. My overall experience is below average. Rooms are tiny, yet they are not well maintained. The sheets had stains in the initial room allotted to me so I asked for a room change and they promptly allotted it. On the second room also, there were black spots on the sheets and I was worried it was bedbugs, luckily it was some dry leaf like thing...still unacceptable in a bed. But I was too tired so I opted to stay in. The bathroom was tiny and must have been white once. Now it has broken edges, turning yellow here and there and the washbasin was dirty in both the room due to improper cleaning. For a considerably new property it looked decades old and worn out (the bathroom). Towels were also crisp instead of fluffy. I had booked a half board package including a mocktail. The mocktail was a joke on the first day, it was guava juice! The lazy bartender / waiter said only that was available. Thankfully the next day a proper bartender was there and he made me a Virgin mojito which was good. The food overall in the restaurant was below average. There is a spread...but its not that appetizing. I ordered room service on day 2 because the dinner was bad and I couldn't eat anything. Even the Tehri I ordered was bad and I wasted it and ate some snacks I had and slept. The reception was poor, cleanliness is subpar, food is pathetic and overall I wouldn't stay in their Chennai property again. The cost did not feel like value for money. I guess they tried to model themselves similar to the premier inn chain in UK. The only thing they got right is the room size. Otherwise it a big letdown. If you are someone who stays in lodges, this will feel like an upgrade. If you stay in similar budget hotels like redfox or premier inn, you will see how much of a downgrade this is at a premium cost.

The stay was extremely great. The way the staff members managed us was unforgettable. We are from Malaysia and came for a prayers. Our prayers in Temple went smooth and finished ahead time. We had more time in Chennai and stay in IBIS Sipcot Chennai made it good. Few things to compliment. 1. The staffs were very friendly, acted with lots of courteous and were swift in handling us. 2. Since, we had long hour waiting for our flight at night they did explained that we can extend our stay till 5pm. That made lots of difference. 3. We had toiletries in room prepared and room was absolutely clean. Dust free and smells good. We had good sleep at night. 4. We would like to appreciate and thank these 5 staff members who made our stay great. They are Abhijay, Anusha, Nayana, Sita and Rajesh. Their smile and hospitality much appreciated. We are sure these guys will upshine the hotel's ranking more. They are assets and can be identified to train newbies where required. Great job guys!!

I stayed there for 2 nights for a business trip and I liked the hotel very much .. first of all hotel is near to the SIPCOT IT park , they have arranged me a free ride to office , breakfast was awesome with lot of variety. Special mention to the recipecionist Daniel who guided me all the way for my stay there. I would recommend this hotel for any business trip.

This was second stay @ Chenna Ibis and experience with both the stay was similar. I liked everything in hotel except cloth Ironing facility. They don't provide iron box in room and if you have to get your cloth iron then you have to go outside your room where they have Iron kept in lobby and there is no Fan/AC over there. This should be improved as it's not a pleasant experience to stand in lobby in middle of night and Iron your cloths

Housekeeping guys don't have a checklist and they forget everytime something or other and I had made multiple complaints with the front desk and housekeeping. My stay had been very pathetic. Not sure if I can reconsider when am back again. My room number is 418.

1) Mattress was not at all comfortable and I got severe back ache. So finally I had to ask housekeeping staff to remove my mattress and put just the thin top memory foam. 2) I got sick during my stay and there was no doctor available and reception staff did not even provided a complementary cab for hospital. 3) Breakfast spread was not up to the mark. 4) There were mosquitoes in the washroom and at the common dining area.

We are allotted room no 607 , later on it was changed to a family interconnected room. My mobile charger was left in room no 607. hotel staff assured me to send the same to my address but I am still awaiting.
