Like any average non-branded and average maintainance hotel with compressed lobbies, tighter parking spaces, not so connected staff at the reception, less supportive staff near the gates on one-way traffic road, plumbing issues in washroom, dust covered AC vents in the room. Not even ready for a 3-star property. Surely not returning anytime in future to novotel.

Every time I am in Chennai, I stay at this hotel. Everything is generally very good. One thing I noticed is that quality of some breakfast items like “Dosa” has gone down. Also, set up at breakfast table needs to be consistent-either glasses for Water missing or water bottle missing or napkin missing or cutlery missing-we had to grab from other tables. Also, plates are always missing near fruit section. Service is exceptional-there are many people but no one pays attention to these small things. Another suggestion is to keep pool open till 9 or 10 Pm-reason for this is that by the time we finish our work for the day and come back to hotel it is normally around 6 or 7 PM. It will be nice to use pool for some refreshing activity.

Have stayed at this property for two night during Early December 2025 (during Cyclone Ditwah). Wonderful Stay with spacious rooms. Only downsides I can think of is the sofas in the buffet restaurant are not well cleaned and doesn't live up to novotel brand. Food was good and hospitality is top notch (really concerned about their guests like for my case, offering very early check-in as I am traveling with baby). As the location is in the heart of the city, everything is packed into an apartment not much space to move around in the property, I am totally missing Novotel HCC. Don't expect bath tub below suite rooms in chennai (at least in this property and in pullman chennai)

This hotel is completely unreliable. When I checked in, the hotel made a mistake and charged me a week's stay on my credit card(in fact my company has already paid for a month stay fee). I'm requesting a refund, but it's still not coming. I've repeatedly asked the lobby staff, but they've simply told me that the refund has already been processed. This is unreliable. I've also repeatedly requested this by email, but they've refused to respond. After continuing on protesting, They said they had already done the refund and it would take a week, and now it's been over two weeks and I still haven't received my refund. It's been over a month since mischarging and I still haven't received my refund, so if they don't refund me, I'll sue the company. Even a child would know that they could refund the amount directly to my card in a day. They can't even do that, and they're just lying. They haven't even apologized. No star hotel quality, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
