It went well in general. Yet room srevice wasn't available due to Covid (which is paradoxical as one would believe it is necesasry to clean more rather than less in times of pandemic). I was slightly unhappy the room wasn't cleaned during our stay. We asked for new towels on the last day and were told the room service would come but they didn't. We didn't pay full price for the room but would have been very dissatisfied if we would have, as there is no difference between an airbnb and an hotel in our eyes if the room isn't cleaned daily.

Half board offer is an 'arnaque' and the restaurant was well below our expectations.

Very disappointed, booked half board expecting a pleasant meal, told in the restaurant that it only included two courses from a very basic 'formula' menu and anything else was extra, despite the fact that we had prepaid more than this price with our booking. Heating didn't work in the room and the receptionist was inept and constantly challenged us as if arriving guests.

Good in every respect except the bedroom

Staff were exceptionally pleasant ; breakfast was excellent; restaurant was very good and the log fire was wonderful; BUT the room was very disappointing, especially as a ''premier room''. Whilst I recognise that this is mainly a summer hotel, although there was an up and over door to a patio, it was impractical to open this in the winter and there was no window so it was disagreeable not to have access to any daylight. The bathroom lacked enough hooks to hang the towels let alone any clothes, nor was there any stool/chair in the bathroom. There was a separate wc but it lacked a wash-hand basin; the floors in the wc and bathroom were very cold to walk on and the rubber fabric in the bedroom was disagreeable underfoot. No handles/grips in the bath so it felt unsafe to my elderly mother when using it. All a great shame as the hotel otherwise has a lot to commend it. I have visited the hotel before ( in the summer) and had a much better experience.

two cockroach and few ants in my room

due to a mistake on my part, I reserved for the wrong day. Upon arrival I was given the last available room, it was room #1. There were two or three ants, killed them. Once coming back from dinner I saw one cockroach running on the floor, killed it, went for a shower and then I saw another cockroach, killed it again and went to the front desk to complain. I was offered to move to room 205, which was not available for purchase as there were repair works ongoing in the shower, I accepted anyway as it was better than having cockroachs in the room... Upon check out of course I had to pay for the first night of no show and then for my real nightmare night. The previous evening the lady proposed a reduced fee at EUR90 given the room was very small and suggested that maybe I could have a 50% off due to the cockroach problem. I was actually expecting to have it waived off completely. No, at check out a different lady asked me to pay the full EUR90, then after my begging (!!!) she reduced to EUR70. It should have been WAIVED FREE OF CHARGE, this is what hotels in the USA would do. I acknowledge that I had an issue with my first reservation and the no show and I duly paid EUR125 for the first night.

The stay in hotel was not very pleasent.

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Far away from everything, might be good for vacation but I was there for short business meetings and did not have car so I had to pay high prices of taxi every time I wanted to go to a town. I don't speak French, language barrier was tough. The door to the hotel room kept locking itself, every time I needed to go back to reception to fix my card.

The hotel is ok for a Mercure but not really at level of four stars. No minibar in the room and the design is far too Accor standards, no lift, Good staff but this hotel seems to be run without manager. Many details needs to be fixed: Dirty pool, no towels etc...
