Initially wanted 2 nights at Roi René, we extended for another night and my husband had a fall in La Sainte Victoire on our way back and was immobilised at the hospital the whole week. During my stay (by myself), I have the extra most care from the reception girls, they were outstanding and moved the world for me 🩷, which I fell very special. The restaurant staff were professional and helped which ever was possible, I ended up being addicted to la mousse au chocolat but I have tried other dishes which were all wonderful. The bedroom was spotless, really spotless thx to the housekeeping full of smiles and extra attention. The bedroom a bit small and sink/bathtub problems with the water drainage but all was always fixed. I would like to thank Le Roi René staff without them it would have been really awful, they make my stay very special. Pls take good care of your staff they are the main asset and really shine beyond their ‘job’.

The noise that sounded like moving doors or objects bothered us every night of our 4night stay. The aircon was not working the first night. Temperature of refrigerator was not cold enough. There was no wine opener and ice. Hard to contact room service or guest services.

we had a lovely stay, rooms done beautiful decor and surroundings. Lovely outside area. Really lovely and helpful staff. Only complaint is it’s a LOT of money for a very tiny room. And several hidden charges eg parking and breakfast. Ended up a very expensive stay Would recommend but with a warning that it is expensive!

too many tour company people....breakfast is a nightmare....the breakfast in years past was outstanding, now it is like other hotels...very disappointing to its past

Stayed 3 nights. Nice hotel only 10 min walk from town centre. Friendly reception & bar staff. Didnt eat at the hotel so no reviews on food but it looked good

This was our second stay at this hotel, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The hotel is comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, close to the city centre, and having parking available is a big plus. Although a late check-out wasn’t possible, we really appreciated being able to spend some extra time by the pool and take a shower afterwards before continuing our holiday to Corsica. A very pleasant stay and definitely a hotel we would choose again!

We came second time to the hotel. We loved it. Everything was just perfect. From the parking in the garage, valet service, fabulous room with the terrace overlooking the swimming pool, wonderful breakfast, location of the hotel… it was just perfect stay in Aix.

Overall it was good. We were disappointed with our terrace which was very narrow and had only one sun lounger. Most other terraces were wider and had 2. Getting a seat by the pool was a a challenge and we succeeded only once.

From start to finish, we had a really lovely stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was perfect. I was away with a friend and so we shared a twin room - more than spacious enough for the 2 of us . We really liked the touch screen air con and the pool - needed in the hot weather! Location was perfect too - centrally located with the gare routine, gare SNCF and the Cours Mirabeau all only minutes away. I can't fault it - i would 100% stay again. Merci mille fois - c'était parfait!
