I stayed 1 night for business reason and I was positively surprised by this hotel. Well located, you can then access to city center by foot. Fitness room is well equipped. Standard rooms are simple but well furnished. Great team at the front desk

The good are pleasant interiors, kind reception staff and good food at restaurant. The bad is very limited car parking space.

I chose the hotel, among other points, because the room offered (as announced): a bathtub, independent climatisation, a Nespresso machine (it interested me as the cost of breakfast at the hotel was abusive). Well, I checked in around 7:40pm after a busy and tiring day at Marseille and a train trip to reach Aix-in-Provence, as well. I had a reservation at a local restaurante, so I took a quick shower and left. When I came back, around 11pm and extremely tired, I, unsuccessfully, tried to bath myself. Unsuccessfully because the bath tube simply wouldn’t fill up. After spending gallons and gallons of water and almost all the available shower gel, I gave up and went to bed really upset, mad or even worst feeling. The room was also very warm and I turned the “air conditioner” or what was supposed to be that thermostat on the wall. Well, tired as I was, I woke up only at 4am (or around that) sweating. I called the receptionist to try finding out what was wrong and he, very nice, came to the room to check it. What a surprise when he told me that I was unable to turn the air conditioner on because at this time of the year it’s turned off. Well, whoever decided to do that doesn’t understand about human beings can be different, specially women at my age at their menopause. So, if the hotel is unable to please their guest accordingly to their needs, it doesn't deserve any stars as their owners/mangers still didn’t learn the meaning of hospitality and its principles. Besides that, when announcing you have a Nespresso machine, you create an expectation on your client of a Nespresso coffee, not a generic bio one. Finally, I arrive at my unfulfilled demand of a room placed on a calm/silent part of the hotel. I even confirmed with the receptionist (very unfriendly, by the way, and as inhospitable as her employer) if it was really on a quiet spot, as I have a very light sleep; for what confirmed that was. Well, the room faced the street, that is one of the most busy in Aix, even being during a weekend (Saturday to Sunday morning). And, the hotel windows are definitely not sound proof ones. I will never stay in this hotel again and will share my awful experience at the internet to save other people of passing through an extremely unpleasant experience as mine.
