We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the hotel, the restaurant was excellent, all the safety protocols worked very well, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The only negative comment I would make that compared to other hotels in the MGallery group, the frequency of soap, shampoo etc. was poor, and we had to ask for more, also when we bought a bottle of champagne to have as an aperitif, there were no nibbles with it, my wife had to ask for some nuts! Sometimes, the little extras that make the Brand unique were missing! otherwise, we had a great time, and it is certainly very high on our return list. Kind Regards, Peter H.

Poor quality room

The shower head and the main was broken and coming off the wall. Breakfast was good quality but didn't have much choice. Only stayed once and dont think I will be back unless it is refurbished with an improved breakfast.

The location is great, close to the main attractions and areas of interest. The hotel was very good and the staff fantastic. They were friendly and helpfully. Overall the hotel was very clean and tidy with very good internet. The food was very good and service excellent. The only down side was the COVID restrictions stop you having a dink at the bar which was pity but this wasn’t the hotels fault.

Being a handicapped guest I apreciated the bathroom. Room, was fine too It was a pity that there were so few guestw ; the atmosphere was dull and sad. But the staff was first class ; very kind ad helpful. The breakfas was plentiful and very good. The restaura nt was close, of course, and the menu Roo service was the same every day !! I went to Aix for medical purpose

My husband ,me and our dog had great time in your hotel. It was a buisness trip during the 3rd lockdown. This hotel was made for us. We wanted the comfort for all three of us ;-), secure parking ,centre of the Aix and the most important friendly staff. And we got it all 100% !!! It started with having Mr Vikash on the phone who welcomed us in the hotel. It is so nice to meet him and chat with him in real. He already made us feel like home and that's what it was for the next two nights. The room was great, the bed was very comfortable,nespresso was there and tea Damman, L'Occitane ... Loved it all !! We will be back for sure !! I know these are crazy times but i think your hotel needs a bit of love, needs of refurbishing and bit of renovating to make it even better. The history of the hotel is amazing so please continu creating the history in this amazing place :-) Silvija ,Grégory and our dog Chaplin

Due to the COVID restriction, - no bar, no restaurant - only room service, it was acceptable but far below what it could have been. In particular, the room service menu was bare-boned and could have been better. When understood that the hotel had a skeleton staff, yet it was not reflected in the price …

The room was cold, the heater was not working, the cover was dirty, not even mentioning the carpet. Thanks to your evening staff who did everything to warmer the room. She was great. Otherwise our stay was not at the level advocated by your hotel. This is the perfect recipe to lose customer.

Very warm welcome from the reception team and they were helpful throughout our one night stay. It was lovely to have the pool to cool off in after a long drive. Great location. Would definitely recommend. Toilet in our room was dated.

We spent a night as a couple in the Mgallery Aix en provence. The overall experience was disappointing. Having spent multiple night in the accor network, including Sofitel and MGallery, I was extremely disapointed. The Sofitel brand normally guarantee very high standards in customer service and Room quality (Space, style, quality) and the MGallery locations are always a thrill to discover. This location unfortunately had none: room was tiny, probably quite old with no style whatsoever, the shower head was broken, the breakfast was good but we had to wait over 20 minutes to be seated (the current sanitary situation can maybe excuse this), the building has no charm and decoration appart from maybe the recetion is very basic. It is quite disappointing the spend the money of a 5* expecting that the ACCOR, Sofitel and MGallery brands will guarantee an above standard experience and stay in a very standard hotel more like a Novotel. Maybe Accor should consider downgrading this location to the Novotel brand. I am curious to receive feedback from the location or Accor customer service.

After a long drive from Beaune,where we had an excellent stay at the Novotel hotel there,we were not greeted or treated very well by the male receptionist.We always only stay where we can park the car securely on hotel premises.He insisted that as we had not pre-book we the car he said we had to use a public car park.This caused a lot of resentment and put a dampner on our stay and quite frankly were happy to leave ASAP the following morning

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quite near the centre of town. The breakfast was quite extensive and the food was good. The rooms were quite nice, very clean, and comfortable. Would visit again.

The People Make the Hotel

I am a firm believer that a hotel is only as good as its people. MGallery in Aix-en-Provence has one of the most spectacular teams I have seen in a hotel in a very long time. Filipe greeted me in the car park immediately upon arrival with a very warm greeting and an extra speedy assistance because he saw that my infant daughter was not feeling well. Throughout my stay he was always present and recognized us - running around the side entrance to let us in with the stroller, or helping to carry it down the steps. Truly a gem. The Front Desk team was extraordinary. If I could take Melanie home with me I would. Upon arrival she seemed to take it personally that my daughter was ill, and before I had completed my check in, she had already called to request that a doctor come to the hotel to see her ON A SUNDAY. But it did not end there - she followed up personally multiple times throughout the visit, and left a note upon our departure. Kevin was extremely gracious, and ran out to the pharmacy late at night to collect the medicine since my daughter was already asleep. He was careful to knock quietly and was back super quickly. He too remembered us throughout our stay. There were three notable individuals in the restaurant and I wish I had their names. They made me feel extremely welcome, even with a sick and messy baby. The first gentleman is French, with dark blonde hair, and served us Sunday evening in the courtyard along with a lovely young woman from Ecuador who was absolutely delightful with my daughter. The other young man had dark hair and was there Sunday evening and served us at the pool Monday for dinner, again, remembering who we were and asking how she was feeling. The icing on the cake was to run into the General Manager on Monday, and before I had a moment to say anything, she said "You must be the mom with the sick baby". THAT is how well they communicate and follow through, and THAT is how good the service is. I have spend my career in Guest Relations in luxury hotels, and when I called my husband to tell him about this experience, I told him that it was one of the first times that I felt treated the way that I have always worked to treat others. And for once, I can truly appreciate that service from the other side. I am forever grateful and cannot recommend the hotel enough. MERCI BEAUCOUP!

The hotel is modern, clean, and tidy. The staff could not have been more helpful - they offered travel advice, restaurant recommendations, and even helped with my French pronunciations. The restaurant is excellent - the food was very very good and our waiter, Aurelien, was delightful. When I go back to Aix, this will be my hotel of choice. As excellent as this hotel is, it is worth noting that it is just outside the old city walls so there is a short walk to get to the heart of the old city. If you are driving into Aix or will be meeting a bus tour, this is the hotel for you. The cute hotels inside the city walls are just too hard to get to with a private vehicle. I highly recommend a stay in this hotel.
