We were extremely happy with the service and the attention we received. From the janitor to the receptionist to the house-keeping, everyone was courteous and professional. We enjoyed the beautiful view from our room. Our Valentine's dinner was succulent and breakfast the following day was diverse and quite filling.

Starting with the positive points - the housekeeping staff were extremely attentive and responsive - definitely the best thing about this stay. Also, the grounds were very pleasant and the location next to the large "Hilton" park is lovely. The major downside relates to COVID precautions. Despite all prior assurance and AllSafe branding, I did not feel safe at this hotel. Masks are not properly worn by staff, gloves are inconsistently used even by the breakfast staff, temperature was taken only twice during my entire visit (this should be happening in various points of the hotel at all times), and various places did not feel clean. The spa needs a management overhaul - a very poor experience, where you end up more stressed after a massage. Food is mediocre and overpriced. I spend two weeks and after my first week I gave up on hotel food completely. The hotel's hardware is also antiquated. Following the theme of other reviews, several things related to plumbing don't work. The bed is lumpy. Sound travels easily between rooms (I could always hear the upstairs TV). There should also be proper desks for work in rooms, especially in these COVID times. I will likely give the Sofitel another chance, so I hope some of this feedback can be addressed. Honestly, it all comes down to management.

First night arrived check in was fine. Washroom had a weird smell from the drain. Then around 11pm called room service , reception , Concierge all extension on the hotel phone possible, everything was constantly busy or not working, then used cell phone to call main line , also not working. I continued trying for about 2 hours. Finally around 1am I was able to reach someone to order water to take my medication. When i complained to him that no one was answering and I tried many times to call, he completely ignored me and said, yes, What can I get you. After that it was fine except the last morning before checkout. I ordered breakfast at 10am, to my room called back at after 30min to see when it was coming, then 45min, the person said dont worry its on the way then i called back at 11am still no breakfast. Finally 1110am they brought it, which made me late for my meeting . Ive stayed here before. Service is usually good. But this time it was not. And the people in charge showed little consideration for the trouble I experienced.

Every thing was just perfect except the room ac was turned of due to COVID 19 as we were told by the hotel staff . The concierge team were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Indeed it is the best option while I am in Rabat .

a room upgrade gone downgrade

My wife and I have booked a junior suite. once at the hotel and as a diamond member, we were offered an upgrade to a prestige suite on the second floor. unfortunately, this upgrade end up being down grade as the suite was very old, the carpet was old and had burn spots, electrical cable coming out of the wall in the bathroom near the mirror etc... we've got the sense that this room was not being used for a while nor prepared. However, the staff, the food, early & late check out and all other services were excellent and remarquable. we were just disappointed with the room.

Hotel rooms and facilities are all aging. Not worth the 5 stars and/or Price. The entire hotel need a major upgrade; especially the rooms. Holes and scratches in almost every walls of the room and bathroom.....
