Nice location. Renewal urgently needed. We checked in quickly, left luggage in room before leaving for the day. Room (403) extremely outdated and in urgent need of refurbishment. Worst part was old carpet in room. I even considered leaving the hotel and looking for another place to stay. Smelled terrible and after trying to leave window open to refresh, went to reception and asked to change rooms because it would have been impossible to sleep in that room. After a long talk (it was 7:30 pm and we were checking out 14 hours later, so it was a quick stay) they accepted to give us one of many empty refurbished rooms on 5th and 6th floor (I do not understand why the hotel does no give guests the already available refurbished rooms). It seemed like a completely different hotel. Room much better and did not reek of old carpet. Would I return? To a refurbished room, maybe. To an old room, never.

The hotel needs a major renovation. It is darkly lit, the breakfast service was not professional. Too expensive for what it offers.
