The renovated room on the top floor appeared very bright with new carpets etc. Intesting choice of colour of chairs - bright yellow, how long will that stay unstained. The shower door would not shut as the seal on the bottom of door was coming off, there was a visible inspection panel under the sink which had come away from the wall and the lever to lcok the door falls out into you hand. Rather disappointing these snaggings have not been dealt with. The hotel was still under refurbishment and you required to enter through a different door which was not a problem. My wife and I stayed 3 nights. On the first night having spent most of the day travelling we thought we would eat in the hotel. We were advised there was a buffet dinner. There was limited choice and was inexpensive. Would rather have paid a bit more for better food. Breakfast was poor. There was meant to be scrambled egg but every day it was either finished or there were a few cold scraps left in the dish. There was very little choice of cold meats or cheese. Was some bread, croissants etc. and a toaster. Coffee machine was available. There was little acknowledgment from the few staff who appeared from time to time. We used the bar each day. On the first day they ran out of gin pre dinner and we were advised more would there after dinner. It did not appear that night, nor the next night. On our final night they had managed to locate a bottle of gin. I have an Accor ALL silver loyalty card which entitles me to two free drinks at an Accor hotel. On enquiring about this I was advised that it only allowed me beer, lemonade or soda. My wife does not drink beer. On speaking to the manager I was advised that Mercure 3 star hotels only provide beer or soft drinks. Not correct. We have been in other Mercure 3 star hotels where we had choices of beer, wine etc. I was not expecting champagne but surely a glass of wine is not over the top? It is for this Mercure Hotel. They do not sell glasses of wine. You can get a bottle or half bottle of wine. I had thought the loyalty card was to reward loyalty and encourage you to return. Obviously not. If you are looking for a cheap hotel this may be fine. Would we ever return? No.

Wonderful stay from the first minutes at the reception all the way to check out. Super clean rooms and a true Moroccan breakfast experience every morning. All in all excellent staff and hotel.

We first had a room in which the window literally opened on a roof (covered in green). we immediately asked for another room . Nice size, old features, but with the door hardly closed and opened, the light of the entrance did not work, and there was a constant sewage smell. We asked to change but we had to wait three day, they put us in a new room. In that room we could not put our clothes in the wardrobe , the door almost touched one of the beds. Althugh we were two, the staff kept giving us one water bottle, one glass! The only good aspect: the staff. were nice.

Our stay at the Mercure Sherazade went well overall, unfortunately there were no offers for families in general. On the 3rd floor there was a bad smell.

it was. a good experience again, i like to be there when i am in rabat, not far from the airport. And teh new rooms are great but please upgrade only the breakfast !!!
