I cannot judge the location from a touristy perspective. I was there just in transit so for me it did the trick as it has quick exit to the highway, the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet and when i needed a late night bite and some fruit i found it within 5 min walking. The room, perfect: large, fantastic bed, great bathroom with decent toiletries, minifridge, blackout curtains. The only thing not great is A/C. It took a technician to make it function and when it ran it did not cool down the room at all, just ventilation, so the room's temperature remained at 25⁰ from 19:30 until 11:30 the next day despite setting the A/C to max power and 18⁰. The breakfast, good, varied but somewhat disorganized. The coffee machine did not work. The coffee jars did not open or were empty, butter was missing, some items awaited replenishing. The staff was around but somehow missed to spot these details and needed to have their attention drawn upon at which point they complied swiftly. The parking situation is not ideal, street side, public, but for 1-2 motorcycles they can offer the cover and security of their own garage, which is fantastic. Very amable and competent reception staff. Kudos! Would I stay there again? Absolutely. Do I recommend it? Of course. I for one will be back to visit Rabat properly for a few days with my family and this Mercure hotel will be my choice.

Though the price per night may seem initially off putting, I am certain that you get more than yours money worth. The peace of mind that you get here when you compare it to something like an Airbnb or even another hotel in the area is incomparable (speaking from experience). Desk staff are not just friendly, but genuinely care about you and anything you need. I was here for work and the fact that everything is clean, the restaurant is open quite late, and the room is quiet just gave me that needed mental security while dealing with work. I have no doubt that I will be back here again.

The hotel is in walking distance of the Mohammed V mausoleum and in walking distance of modern, clean tramways which connect the area with the Marina and other parts of the city.

The renovated room on the top floor appeared very bright with new carpets etc. Intesting choice of colour of chairs - bright yellow, how long will that stay unstained. The shower door would not shut as the seal on the bottom of door was coming off, there was a visible inspection panel under the sink which had come away from the wall and the lever to lcok the door falls out into you hand. Rather disappointing these snaggings have not been dealt with. The hotel was still under refurbishment and you required to enter through a different door which was not a problem. My wife and I stayed 3 nights. On the first night having spent most of the day travelling we thought we would eat in the hotel. We were advised there was a buffet dinner. There was limited choice and was inexpensive. Would rather have paid a bit more for better food. Breakfast was poor. There was meant to be scrambled egg but every day it was either finished or there were a few cold scraps left in the dish. There was very little choice of cold meats or cheese. Was some bread, croissants etc. and a toaster. Coffee machine was available. There was little acknowledgment from the few staff who appeared from time to time. We used the bar each day. On the first day they ran out of gin pre dinner and we were advised more would there after dinner. It did not appear that night, nor the next night. On our final night they had managed to locate a bottle of gin. I have an Accor ALL silver loyalty card which entitles me to two free drinks at an Accor hotel. On enquiring about this I was advised that it only allowed me beer, lemonade or soda. My wife does not drink beer. On speaking to the manager I was advised that Mercure 3 star hotels only provide beer or soft drinks. Not correct. We have been in other Mercure 3 star hotels where we had choices of beer, wine etc. I was not expecting champagne but surely a glass of wine is not over the top? It is for this Mercure Hotel. They do not sell glasses of wine. You can get a bottle or half bottle of wine. I had thought the loyalty card was to reward loyalty and encourage you to return. Obviously not. If you are looking for a cheap hotel this may be fine. Would we ever return? No.

Wonderful stay from the first minutes at the reception all the way to check out. Super clean rooms and a true Moroccan breakfast experience every morning. All in all excellent staff and hotel.
