It was ok. Good bed. Shower alternated hot and cold--so not good.

The process to check is quick and easy. You can either take the S1 or bus to go to this hotel from MUC. This hotel is very close to the security office for registration.

I stayed overnight for one night on 8/9 November. After breakfast on checkout day, 9th November, I asked if a later checkout was available from the usual 12.00pm checkout time. As an Accor member, I was granted a complimentary later checkout until 2.00pm which, as my flight was late that evening, I was happy to accept. Before checking out later on, I needed to spend some time out of the hotel before returning to have a shower and then checkout at 2pm. Leaving the hotel at 11am, I checked with the reception staff that the cleaners would be aware that I had a later checkout as my personal belongings were still in the room and I wanted to make sure they would be safe. I was assured the cleaners would be aware of the later checkout and not to worry. I returned to the hotel around 12.30pm, went up to my room and, opening the door, I immediately knew the cleaners had been into the room as the net curtains had been closed, the bed made and room cleaned and all of my belongings I'd left behind, located in three different places in the room, had been removed. Wanting to know where my belongings were, I panicked and immediately went down to the reception to let them know what had happened, speaking to the same two reception staff I'd wanted reassurance from earlier. They were both surprised and called the housekeeping manager who set about locating my belongings. Around fifteen minutes later a bag was passed to me with my possessions in and, relieved, I went back to my room. Getting back into my room I realised not all of my possessions had been returned to me so, panicking again, I went back to the reception and explained that I was still missing some items. The housekeeping manager was still there and she went back upstairs to speak to the cleaners. She came back minutes later to assure me that nothing else had been found in my room, I assured her there was and that, as they hadn't been returned to me, I had to assume they had been put in with the rubbish. The housekeeping manager assured me there was nothing that would have been thrown out but I told her that, with respect, the cleaners would not know what they were searching for and that I wanted to look in the rubbish myself. I was taken upstairs to the cleaners trolley and the rubbish bag was ripped opened for me. Immediately I came across a number of my possessions sitting in the rubbish bag. With hotel staff standing around me as I looked through the rubbish bag, I can only describe the experience of having to look through a bag containing other guests rubbish as both degrading and humiliating. I wasn't offered any help to look through the rubbish and, to this day, I still have no idea if I got all of my possessions back as I did not want to look through the rubbish bag for any longer than I had to, with staff watching over me. I found the whole experience extremely disturbing, intrusive and very upsetting, that cleaners would go through my belongings and decide what items they would simply throw out in the rubbish and what items would be saved. Quite how they came to decide which survived and which wouldn't, is beyond me. The reception staff and housekeeping manager tried to assure me that the cleaners must have thought I'd forgotten to take the items with me on checkout but I found that hard to believe with the amount of belongings I'd left in the room, some in the bathroom and others in two different locations in the room itself. I understand hotel guests can forget an item or two but not a whole range of items and in several places in the room as well. To me it was quite obvious that the room was still occupied and the cleaners, without checking with reception first, for whatever reason, simply took it on themselves to remove my belongings regardless. I have stayed in this hotel before but would definitely think twice about staying here again, especially with a late checkout. If it hadn't been for the fact the hotel itself is good, the staff friendly, the room comfortable and the breakfast good, I would most definitely have given this stay a score of 1. Future guests, you've been warned!

We are deeply sorry that your belongings were handled in a way that caused you panic, humiliation, and anxiety, and we fully understand the frustration and upset this incident has caused. We acknowledge that the reception team should have ensured that housekeeping was fully aware of your late check-out, and that appropriate measures—such as “Do Not Disturb” signage or clear communication with cleaning staff—should have been taken to prevent any interference with your belongings. It is also unacceptable that you had to search through items in the rubbish bag yourself while staff observed, and we are truly sorry for the intrusive and degrading nature of this experience. We want to assure you that your feedback has been taken very seriously. We are reviewing our processes with both reception and housekeeping to ensure that this never happens again. Our goal is to safeguard the privacy and possessions of every guest, particularly those with late check-outs, and to provide clear guidance and training to our team to prevent misunderstandings like the one you experienced. While we are glad to hear that you found the hotel, breakfast, and room to your liking, we deeply regret that this incident overshadowed your overall experience.
