The modern Hotel Novotel Munich Airport is located directly at Munich Airport and is only a short trip away by public bus from the terminal. Although our hotel is practically next to the runway, the airport seems far away when you arrive. Excellent soundproofing in our rooms will guarantee you peace and relaxation after a long day exploring the city or before your onward journey. Based on Novotel reviews I booked this hotel because a hotel shuttle was mentioned. Well, that shuttle no longer exists. In its place is a public bus. It's a good bus, cheap, and convenient, but again, nowhere on the Novotel site is mentioned 1) which bus to take, and 2) where to pick it up. The Information booth inside the airport directed me to the private shuttle bus location (wrong). The actual location is Terminal 1 outside - go up the escalator or lifts - to the street level Audi Conference Center, where you will find a sign for bus 635. Regarding the hotel: very clean, very busy, staff seemed frustrated. Rooms are small, modern, and not a lot of storage. I like the touch panel climate control, but I could not get temperature below 19.5, which is too warm for sleeping under a quilt. It's a good hotel, but I've stayed in better for the same price.
