The whole room and the entire matress smell like tea tree oil I called the reception 3x to ask for support with the smell, 3x I was simply hung up The sofa is prepared as additional bed (as if this room was not for me but a family with kids) = I cannot use the sofa, so I had to work on the bed

The situation you described regarding the strong smell in your room and mattress is absolutely unacceptable and does not meet our standards in any way. Please rest assured that this has been shared with our housekeeping and maintenance teams for immediate investigation and corrective action. Even more concerning is your experience when trying to contact our reception team. Being hung up on repeatedly is completely inappropriate and falls far below the level of service we strive to provide. For this, I would like to express my deepest apologies. We are addressing this internally with the team to ensure that such behavior is not repeated. I also regret that the room setup did not meet your expectations and limited your comfort, especially during a business stay where a functional workspace is essential. We understand how important this is and are reviewing our room allocation and preparation procedures accordingly. We had a great stay at this Novotel and would definitely come back. We had some travel problems requiring us to extend our stay and we really appreciated the flexibility and understanding of the staff for our situation. Our thanks especially to Natalie (spelling?) in at the front desk for her help.

Could not cool the room below 24.5 deg c. Informed reception and told there was nothing which could be done. Hotel AC was operating in heat mode only. Windows do not open. Good hotel but could not sleep
