My husband and I had an incredible week at La Veranda. From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were exceptional and took great care of us. I thought we might be bored for a week on the beach so I booked La Veranda based on the great reviews plus its location close to other restaurants and bars. Was I ever wrong! I wish we had stayed 2 weeks. The clean beach is beautiful with lots of loungers and great beach service. The water is warm, calm with a lovely sandy bottom. Our room was comfortable and large with a lovely balcony and view of the beach. The buildings are all beautiful. The food and drinks were excellent both on the main level and upstairs. During our stay there was a Rum Soiree and Wine Night – both very tasty and a lot of fun. The buffet breakfast has anything you could ask for and if you find something missing (unlikely), the staff made it clear they would like to know so they can provide it. We did venture out each day to get some steps but spent the majority of our time at La Veranda. There are good restaurants and bars even on the lane leading up to the main road from the resort.

Wonderful Resort with excellent staff (very friendly, very helpful). Great breakfast with nice ocean view. Rum at rum soiree was to sweet (only fruit rums, no original rums) - but still great atmosphere at the bar!

We were pampered all around and felt very comfortable here in this oasis of fine food and peaceful sleep. Our experience was super-positive from start to finish and we can highly recommend this house - not least because of its good central location.

Not sure I know enough superlatives to describe this place; it is absolutely superb. It is the staff that really make it so special. I don’t think we have ever stayed in a hotel where all the staff have known our names the entire trip from day 1. We stayed for six nights which they called a long stay and you get some perks such as some free laundry, 10% off bar and food and also the spa. Our room was large, spacious and airy with everything you could need. Fresh drinking water constantly provided and an exotic fruit bowl. Turn down service in the evening also provided some petit fours. Not that we could ever manage them because the food is simply divine. The pepper tree restaurant lives up to its reputation as the premier restaurant on the island and having the chef cook at your table is a lovely experience. Equally Le Jardin provides a range of tasty food outside. The main building is glorious with a stunning art deco design. The swimming pool area is very comfortable with plenty of shade but for sun lovers there are also plenty of sunbeds on the private beach. Happy hour in the bar should not be missed and there is an excellent Filipino duo singing most nights; they are brilliant! Special thanks to Tuyet (captain waitress) for making our meals so special, and Thu (senior therapist) for giving such an excellent massage in the superb spa. The customer services manager is excellent and the whole staff are the best we have ever encountered. We are very happy customers!
