First and foremost, I have booked the shuttle bus days in advance with my name noting that there is a baby with me. But clearly the shuttle bus didn’t even wait for me. What’s the point of booking if the shuttle didn’t wait? End up, I’m with a baby, trying to find the bus and eventually giving up and taking alternative transportation. Very poor service from the hotel. In fact, that’s unbecoming of a 5* hotel. No updates, no alternatives provided. Just pure 1* hotel service. Next, when I arrived at the hotel which is passed 3pm. My room was not even ready. Staff was clueless as to what to do. I ended up waiting 30mins with a very tired baby. Staff did not even offered a welcome drink or anything for me in the mean time. Knowing there’s a baby especially in distress, typical hotel of a 5* calibre would provide alternatives or even a room that’s available even if it was upgrade given that it’s passed 3pm. This one did nothing. I wonder if Novotel is even a 5* hotel now. Goodness, stayed in multiple chains of Novotel across the globe but this is definitely my worst experience with the hotel. Seriously, this Novotel chain needs a severe upgrade in its customer service. Toilet is also very bad. Toilet door is heavy. What’s the point of a heavy toilet door? Water pressure keeps going up and down. Seeems like hotel needs a major upgrade here

The hotel is located in central Phu Quoc near the airport & few minutes from Grand World. The rooms are nice and amazing breakfast. It is located on the beach with a very nice spa & an infinity pool with Bar.

Everything about the hotel was satisfactory. I booked two rooms for me and my family. As an Accor plus member, I had lunch with 2 ppl and the first bill was given the discount. After about 20 minutes my family from the second room dropped in for lunch and I showed my card again and asked the restaurant to apply the discount for my family and bill it to my room while I wanted to go to the room for a change. However, a female staff kept insisting that I had to be present. So I came back to the restaurant in 10 mins before asking for the bill. She then insisted that I need to be eating with them even though she knew I had just finished lunch. Eventually I ended up ordering a French fries just to make sure I get my discount. This part of the trip was a bit disappointing. However, the rest of the staff were helpful and polite. And yes, I loved the sea food buffet they put up everyday! Wouldn’t mind returning!

The location is convenient, and the staff is friendly. However, the building is old and needs maintenance. The bathroom ceiling was falling apart, and there was mold as well. During my stay, I was bitten by bedbugs, which seemed to be in some of the furniture.
