My family stayed at the resort for 2 nights, and we almost ate in the resort restaurant. But my wife had diarrhea and vomiting. And I was bloated. Because of this incident, we didn't dare to eat much in breakfast buffet next day. The food at the restaurant is not diverse, only a few European dishes and a few Asian dishes. Resort is quite far down town, I cannot find any food shop or restaurant around resort. And I have to eat in resort restaurant but.....

Everything is good in general. Except, bath room is with bad smell due to not well cleaning after previous tenant leaving.

The Pullman is a big hotel with lots of thought put into the various areas and into taking advantage of its large footprint. While a bit more family-oriented than we would have liked, we nevertheless had an enjoyable stay. The check-in process was handled with minimal hassle and the front desk were always helpful to our needs, and the staff at the Beach House were especially friendly. One feedback I would give is that those extra touches that give the 5 star experience were missing - there was quite often difficulty in communicating in English (which were not so common in other locations on the island) with the concierge and room service . Secondly, the room service not being available past 10pm was quite a shock (I feel it could have been pointed out more clearly at check in) and proved to be a real inconvenience after my boyfriend fell sick and we were unable to order the food we needed at the time we needed. The speed of housekeeping combined with my boyfriend's illness meant that we didn't get the room cleaned at all in our 2 night stay. I have stayed at the Pullman before (Sydney) and 5 star Sofitels in Berlin and Portugal, and the experience there is what prompted me to book the Pullman for that special 'gold member' experience. I hope as the post-Covid world continues to return that these oversights can be put right.

After a long time struggling with the travel embargo, we are finally able to expand our team and improve our professionalism again as a true 5-star resort and despite the fact that many candidates left the hospitality business. Additionally, at the moment, we are arranging for our staff foreign language courses to welcome many guests of other nationalities. Regarding the operation time of our room service, we do update it on in-room televisions information pages and we are working hard on recruitment to offer this service 24/7. The property was quite busy when children and families visited and enjoyed the holiday, which brought you inconvenience. Please rest assured that your comment has been shared with related teams and the security teams to improve in the future. For now, our standards allow us to set one table and one chair per room on the balcony. However, you can always request another chair. We booked for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. Our overall experience was great. The staff was wonderful especially Tham, Dung and the staff over at the Beach Restaurant. I didn't get the names of the other staff but they were all great including the trainees. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. I liked the multiple USB ports on either side of the bed. I wished the TV had Netflix on it, as just a few TV channels became a bit boring after a few days. It would be great if there was an option to turn off the under the bed light censor. Also as an Accor Plus member it would be great if it would be logged into the system so I wouldn't have to continually show my card.

I requested for a higher floor but it wasn’t the case. The room was right in the middle of the elevator and people were walking about. Everything else is fine

We love higher floor view just as much as you do, but the Superior category that you booked is on our lower floors of the central building. The centrally located rooms are indeed near the elevator but do offer the best view on the resort and sea side, and on your next visit, you can book a different room category either on higher floors or in the garden. Good stay, a could of issues

Aircon did not work when I arrived, found this out when I was really hot during the first night and it wouldn't get colder, someone did fix this the next day when I mentioned it. The welcome name on the TV in my room changed a few times throughout my stay but it was never my name, it was other guests in the hotel name showing. One day the toilet was flushing with brown water coming out, only lasted around 6-12 hours before it went back to clear water again. The fridge was not cold so after putting drinks and water in there, it wasn't cold when I got them out. The beds are hard compared to Novotel next door which I found a lot more comfortable than the Pullman beds. I also got food poisoning during my stay and ate 90% of my food there so high chance that's where I got it from, however when I notified reception of this, the staff were very lovely to make sure I was looked after and had everything I needed as well as sending a nurse to my room to check my blood pressure and gave me some medication. That was the best thing about the Pullman, how lovely and caring all the staff is followed by awesome pool and sea views from the hotel room. Overall good stay and a good/modern resort despite the few issues I had.

We wish we were told about the air-conditioning issue anytime on your first day for immediate assistance to make you find the comfort during the night. During your stay, we were facing a glitch on our IPTV software which messed up our guests name. The software vendor was also promptly notified to fix the mentioned bug. When it comes to the water system, we seek your understanding that the water supply system of Phu Quoc is not as good as that on the mainland and many construction and road works result in pipe cuts and bad connections which is a big problem for all properties on the island. We have prioritized separate filtering system installation for all rooms' faucets and are actively working on the water flushing system to avoid the same issue from our end. Regarding your comment on in-room facilities, all equipment was selected for environmental impact and noise reduction; therefore, the room cooler is different from a mini-fridge and provides only chilled drinks. If you prefer cold drinks, free ice buckets are available to your request for free at any time. Our beds are designed based on Pullman Signature Bed standards to help guests to wake up feeling at their very best. However, our housekeeping team is always willing to provide an extra bed sheets to increase softness to your liking. We always use organic and fresh ingredients as well as appropriate cooking methods to create dishes that not only taste good but also benefit your health. Therefore, we were very surprised to hear about your issue and went on an investigation on food safety straightway. Not as good as I thought it would be

Not a very good experience. We were on full meals package and after I signed for the dinner on three different occasions the waiter/waitress came running after us shouting that we hadn’t paid and we weren’t on the full meals package. After taking the signed bill to reception, they then sorted it out. But it happened twice more. Very embarrassing for us. In the room the fridge wasn’t cold and after notifying reception, they informed us that it wasn’t supposed to be.” It was only a cooler.” The toiletries weren’t replaced every day, if one had been part used then it wasn’t replaced, the same with earbuds. In my well travelled opinion this hotel was nice but not 5 star.

Improvement Needed

Stayed here for two nights as so many good reviews here but there are so many things need to be improved. Newly built but after being damaged by Covid -19 the facilities seems downgraded already without being taken care especially the Beach House bar. Rooms have a great view to the ocean but unfortunately the water supply system was dirty in the morning which was a bad experience. Staffs were good enough except the receptionist. Lack of attention and we had to ask 3 times to replace the TV remote batteries for two days in a row. They even couldn’t say sorry to customer until I met directly and request immediately. That was really unprofessional. Food at Madcow was exceptional. Highly recommend to try the grilled Iberico pork. As an Accor Member and been visiting so many Accor’s hotels and resort, Pullman Phu Quoc only reaches 3.5 stars for their unprofessional staffs and facilities. I wouldn’t say I don’t recommend this place but with same price, there are so many options around, at least at this stage.

Beach House Bar is an outdoor outlet so it is severely affected by the island's harsh climate, such as strong winds and heavy rains.
