I had a flight delay and missed my connecting flight so had to stay to Heathrow overnight. It was then a 10min walk from my hotel room to security. Fab. That is the positive thing about my stay. Oh and the bed was perfectly comfortable and clean. Now the negatives… the hotel room was tired and shoddy. The ‘smart’ light switches by the beds did not work. I called reception and was told they would discuss with the manager - no response! The carpets are worn. There is no usable power socket by either bedside nor even a usb facility. So no chance of charging your mobile devices at the bedside. To connect to the Wi-Fi unless you sign up to their rewards program which is the last thing I wanted to do having been travelling for 12 hours and been delayed ,they give you a measly one me connection on the Wi-Fi. This is 2026, come on everybody needs Wi-Fi and why should we have to sign up to some stupid form? This kind of policy is outdated. One of my flights the day before was on Austrian Airways and they gave us complimentary WiFi on board. Using starlink and about 70 meg connection. So this can be done at 37000 feet but not on the ground at Heathrow! Now onto the bathroom, the make-up mirror is all worn and looks shoddy. The enamel on the bath is flaking. Overall considering this is supposed to be a five star hotel and for what it costs I would never stay there again. I’d rather take the 20 minute Taxi drive to one of the better hotels very disappointed.

When I received reconfirmation of my booking a week or so before my arrival I realized that I had inadvertently booked an accessible room. Once I finally located an email address for the Sofitel Heathrow I got in touch and asked for the room to be changed to a normal one. I received confirmation that this had been done. A day or so before my arrival I was given the opportunity to check in online but lo and behold it still mentioned an accessible room with wheel-in shower so I did not check in. When I arrived at the hotel I was still booked in an accessible room which, luckily I was able to change. For what you are charging I do think you could be more diligent with your reservations.

Arrived at 16:30, checked in and went to our room. Came down to find that the bar was closed until 18:00 due to a Microsoft convention. We should have been informed about it beforehand so we could have arrived later. Drinks way overpriced, room was average and the TV in the bathroom didn’t work. The TV in the room only had terrestrial channels. This was supposedly a luxury room which cost £355 a night. Don’t waste your money on it as you will be disappointed

Everything pleasant, smooth, clean with all the facilities you would need. All counter staff, Omkar, and the ladies whose names I didn't get to read were all excellent. I interacted mainly with Omkar, who was extremely professional and helpful - like he'd been doing it all his life.
