What a great hotel to stay at! Check in was smooth and welcoming and was a nice touch to be seated in the foyer rather than having to stand at the desk while the team checked our passports. We have a family room and two doubles and they were all great - roomy, clean and had all the amenities you would expect. Breakfast was great - lots of choice and all the food tasted great and fresh. Omlettes a particular fave for the family which could be ordered to be made fresh every morning. Lovely noodle section, loads of pastries, fruit, cheeses, meats, sushi, Indian options, ice-cream - was really great. Staff always friendly and couldn't do enough to help, shout out to Bella for having the best energy and the biggest smile, but all the staff were so lovely in the mornings. Lunch was at the pool bar which had a more limited menu but we also ate at the Maya restuarant on the last day and could order from that menu and the pool bar menu. Only complaint here was the arrival of food for the group, didn't always seem to hit the mark with courses arriving at different times. We ate at The White Lotus on the first night and a couple of times during our stay and the food and staff always brilliant. They made a special deal of my sister when we told them we were on holiday for her birthday, hand drew her a bday card, set up a bday display on our table - really made our first night of the trip feel wonderful. They really made her feel special and were always so lovely and welcoming when we had meals there later during our stay. Highly recommend. We had one meal at the Italian restaurant and were really disappointed. Staff again lovely but the night we ate they seemed to be under staffed and service could have been better. Food was average and arrived at different times - the spaghetti with squid and the carbonara tasting bland and pork in the carbonara tasting burnt. We had to ask 3 members of staff for parmesan and by the time it eventually arrived our food was cold and carbonara was left unfinished. The staff did apologise at the end but it really put us off and we never ate there again. The pizza was good and the tiramisu was good too - but I would rate the whole experience 5 out of 10. Pool and the adults only area was great, never that busy and staff always great. With the bad weather we had it still made it nice to be able to use the massive pool and order at the swim up bar. Gym area was nice and use of table tennis and pool table was great in light of the weather we experienced. We booked the Elephant Sanctuary trip through the hotel and that was a phenomenal experience and also the 4 islands boat trip through the hotel which used the hotel's own boat - well worth the splurge. Huge thanks to our guide on the day See who really looked after us was always around to answer questions and make us feel safe. Big thanks to the Captain Nick and Bosun Lif who again really looked after us as we had our elderly father with us on the trip and they made sure he always got in and out of the boat safely. Lunch was nice too and just really wanted to say thanks to the team for making the day feel special. The really surprise was when the bought out a cake for my sister's birthday when we entered the lagoon on Hong Island. Really lovely day out and would highly recommend. Really nice to know there was a medical team available at the hotel - my sister had a severe blister and they dealt with that brilliantly and sorted her out brilliantly. We also spoke to another couple who had a tummy bug and they said the staff had been outstanding and really looked after the wife when she was ill. We would happily stay at the hotel again and would give a very high 9 out of 10 for the stay (the Italian restaurant being the only weak point). A huge thanks from us all to the wonderful staff and for making the stay so brilliant. Can't wait to stay again.

What can one say, the whole experience was fantastic. From the friendly & helpful staff, a magnificent room over looking the garden & pool, the facilities & activities, superb restaurants & bars. You can be as active as you like, 9 hole golf course, boat trip to some of the islands, bike hire etc. and of course the fantastic swimming pool, perfect for a dip on a hot day and to relax around with a cold drink. A special thank you to Sao, Lita, Son, Jah, May & Jib.
