5 star stay with 5 star prices but worth every penny

this is a first class hotel that ticks all the boxes, but bear in mind the bar/food prices reflect that first of all the food is excellent we ate at the pool for lunch twice and the indian for dinner,i recommend the tiger prawns for lunch at the pool delicious.and what a pool absolutely brilliant and plenty of loungers any time of the day at the adult end anyway.book the club lounge if you can as two gin and tonics will set you back 800bht elsewhere,i have no real complaints, all that could be better would be smart tvs in the rooms as i feel people are getting over those crazy tv channels that you only ever get in hotels.but truly deserves the 5 star rating.

Solo travel - looking for good service and amenities.

I was here only for day pass, can't remember when, worth stay cuz the pool is right infront of the beach. The rest of my stay just hang out with the working staffs. Special mention to ms. Ji for helping me around whenever I need some help. Cheers.

Amazing and relaxing hotel close to a beautiful beach

A big hotel with tons of activities but still calm. Nice restaurants and an amazing massage spa. I got a massage and facial from a masseuse name Tiger. Recommend 1000%. The rooms and service are really nice.

best pool experience ever, chill & green but expensive

TLDR; large chill resort away from everything, amazing pool & pool area, friendly staff but very high prices for thailand. we had a nice welcome in a spacious reception area. the hotel premises are grand and the pool area is definitely the best bit. it’s a bit further (10-20min) from restaurants etc but generally nice & quiet as result. the resort is expensive to eat & drink at (UK price level) which is a shame as it would be nice to spend more time there by the pool especially. note that drink/food prices don’t include service charge & tax which i found unusual for a thailand. but so add about 20% to already high prices. this made eg 350 baht drink 412 baht (10£). the golf green costs around 35-40£/person if you need to rent the clubs too. the premises are nice and green and there are hammocks around as well as ping pong tables and other games. playing badminton did not work very well due to wind though :) pool bar/swim up bar: the foods range from 220 to 600 baht. drinks are similar to UK prices, eg. aperol spritz 350 baht. the cocktails ranged from average to good in my opinion. the food portions are on the normal/small side. room: we had superior room w garden view. a ground floor room with a small terrace. it was a large room but somewhat outdated and smelled damp, not enough to ask to change though. we were already told in reception that our beds will be 2 separate that they can push together. they were nice very large single beds (maybe 140cm) so made for a huge bed together but i still wished we had 1 shared bed instead. the beds stayed together tho, the gap in between didn’t budge. my main grievance is that there was no sockets near beds so u need to charge your phone overnight on the other side of the room. bathroom was spacious too and had both shower and tub. huge towels which i loved! also good toiletries by Balmain. the small terrace was quite worn out and could use a mini drying rack or something, people do need to dry swimwear etc somewhere. room comes with complimentary water bottles replenished daily, this was thoughtful. the minibar had a couple beers or other drinks. pool: an amazing huge pool if there ever was one. nice with shapes incl shade, floating obstacle course, “stairs” you could sit on etc. it was quite chill during our stay, sun lounges available throughout the day usually at least on the adult side, once or twice they were all taken by 11. i really liked the easy access towels without any weird deposit hassles like some hotels have. the adult end of the pool was in general quiet and very relaxing, can’t fault it. i had some of my best times on this holiday by and in this pool. the music is not too loud around it which i appreciate, so you can actually relax. in the afternoons there’s truck traffic on the road next to it so that’s a small minus. the umbrellas are stuck on & unmovable, and the sun beds are heavy & almost unmovable. it looks neat cos they stay in their places but when the sun moves & your bed is suddenly in sun/shade and you cannot do anything about it it’s less great. still, not a huge issue. beach: you need to cross a road to beach which is fine but i don’t understand why the hotel does not offer sun umbrellas for the beach. also the beach is quite stony in low tide which was afternoon when we would’ve liked to be there (less hot than at noon). to the right of the beach there is a tanker dock, not pretty. still a nice spot at sunset for example, very fine white sand. white lotus restaurant: very nice setting and decor and i think that’s what you pay for (mains 400+, water 80-120 baht). food was fine but not better than at the beach restaurants 10-15min away. despite being quite empty the service was sluggish. staff: always very friendly and courteous, made us feel comfortable. breakfast: i saw some critique of breakfast and frankly don’t understand it. it was one of the largest buffets i’ve seen, even in such 5-star resorts, and a good quality one too. lots of everything, even a donut wall! only thing missing was mimosas. i definitely felt the breakfast (open 6:30-10:30) was one of the best bits of this resort. wifi: very reliable (not disconnecting etc) but not the fastest, wouldn’t work for video meetings probably. perfect for regular social media & surfing. does not quite reach the beach.

Just super
