Whilst these areas are cleaned and vacuumed regularly, I am sorry to hear that you noticed dust and debris during your stay. We do occasionally face challenges with some permanent carpet staining and residue from historic cleaning treatments, but the areas should nevertheless be presented in a clean and tidy condition. Your comments have been shared with our Housekeeping team so that additional attention can be given to these areas. We are also hopeful of commencing a programme of corridor carpet replacement in selected areas in the future as part of our ongoing investment in the hotel. I was also sorry to learn that you found the beds uncomfortable and that you experienced an unpleasant smell in the room. Had these concerns been brought to our attention during your stay, our team would have welcomed the opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, offer an alternative room subject to availability. With regard to the plug sockets, ibis Budget rooms are designed with a simple and functional layout, although I appreciate that the location of the sockets may not have been convenient for your needs.
