Good points: very close to O2 Academy if that’s where you’re going. Room functional. Very cheap. Reception staff helpful. But: filthy corridors, sick smell in various areas, dubious stained carpets by lifts, door entry card did not work so had to get reception to fix it (a neighbouring guest had the same issue as well), there is no separate bathroom - the toilet is in a tiny ‘room’ of its own we didn’t trust closing the door fully for fear of being trapped inside, the shower is like an aeroplane toilet cubicle, the tiny sink is by the bed. The single bed is like a bunk bed you access via wobbly ladders over the top of the double bed and the bunk bed frame not secure. The room looked clean but because the rest of the hotel is not clean we didn’t trust the cleanliness of the bed sheets, carpet etc. Posters in the lifts warning for watching out for child trafficking (worrying, is this the clientele who use the hotel as well?). No thanks. Did we complain at the time? No as it was a one night stay based on its location.

Everything thing was as I expected. Apart from the door fob not working when I first tried to enter the room for the first time. It would've been a 10 out of 10.

One note - we had the twin room 20, and whilst the beds were fine there were signs of ingrained dirt on the floor under the window.
