We stayed in the Suite Neuf for four nights at the occasion of my wife's birthday, which I mentioned upon check in, asking for some Heartist moment, some Spotlighting on 26 May, my wife's birthday. "I'll see what we can do" was the Front Desk Agent's response. Nothing was done during our stay. Not once a greeting when leaving or returning to the hotel in the evening. Front Desk Agents were always busy talking among themselves or looking into the desk top. No situational awareness. The Suite is big, but bland. Obviously mainly used as a meeting room, as the phone sign on the wall suggests (dial... for meeting coordinator (or similar). No welcome amenity. I know, it's Ibis, but it's the only suite, that cost over €1100 for 4 nights. On three days, I reported to the front desk that the toilet in the main bathroom was leaking on the floor. Upon check out it was still leaking, no feedback from the team members received. Come on guys, you are in the hospitality industry!! The suite has a big rooftop terrace and ok seating, but no parasol or similar. Hence, impossible to use on sunny days (as we had). I have spent over 40 years in hospitality, the last 14 years as GM at a Swissôtel in Singapore. As a Transformer of the Heartist 1.0 and 2.0 programs, our stay was even more sobering.

Location was really good for this hotel. The only thing I could fault it was some ibis hotels do have coffee facilities in the room but this one Didn't. The shower wasn't very strong and the hot water was hard to adjust the bonus thing about this down the hallway. They had ice water on tap which we filled that bottle up when we left the hotel to go in our hikes through the city. Overall, it was a good hotel and great experience. The staff was really, really nice.
