I absolutely loved the funky concept! Room was modern, spacious and clean. Amenities in form or tv entertainment with movies available, pool table and games were great. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a great selection. Public transport and restaurant are nearby. I will definitely stay again!

This was our first experience with the Mama Shelter brand, and unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. I had expected a significantly better level of service and hospitality. We had booked a Mini Suite, but the service fell far short of what one would reasonably expect from an international hotel brand. Basic in-room amenities such as coffee pods, sugar sachets, tea bags, dental kits, etc. were not provided in the room. We had to repeatedly request these items from reception. What made the experience worse was the rather reluctant and unwelcoming manner in which these requests were handled. The most serious issue was housekeeping. Our room was not cleaned for three consecutive nights despite repeated requests. We were actually told that the hotel only cleans the toilet/bathroom daily and does not make up the beds or otherwise service the room. This is certainly not the level of housekeeping service we expected, particularly for a Mini Suite. The third sofa bed was also in poor condition and was not something one would expect in a room of this category. Breakfast was, at best, average and did little to improve the overall experience. Overall, this stay has seriously affected my perception of the Mama Shelter brand. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Mama Shelter to others, and particularly not the Prague property. I am giving one star only because the hotel's location is convenient, with easy access to a tram station and a supermarket nearby. Those, however, are advantages of the location rather than reflections of the hotel's management or service.

A stay for 3 nights, but only 1 bottle of drink water (I was told that was my Welcome Drink). I, as a GOLD member of ALL program for years (last year I was PLATINUM), can clearly feel that MAMA Shelter Prague is uncomfortably different from other Accor Brands. I stayed 3 nights. I think I am entitled to two benefits: 1. Welcome amenity When I checked in, I got a bottle of drinking water and a cookie. I think this is Welcome amenity. Each day, my room was cleaned, but there was NO NEW bottles of water put in my room. I had to go to grocery store to buy waters by myself. 2. Welcome drink I don't see my Welcome drink vouchers in my ALL app. I went to reception to ask why. The reception told me THE BOTTLE of water when I CHECKED IN is my Welcome drink. I argued that "No, my understanding is Welcome drink is something I can order in your bar for TWO people, NOT the ONLY ONE bottle of water in room" The solution: the reception gave me two printed-and-hand-written vouchers. Then I used two vouchers to consumed two beers in the bar. I respect MAMA Shelter as a stylish brand to have its own service standard. But this uniqueness is a little bit too SURPRISING to a long-term member.

Front desk upon check-in was a little confused as to what to charge when and how I had initially booked the room. Needless to say, I did get money back upon checkout. It would be great to have a kettle or a coffee maker in the room as I was feeding a 3 week old kitten every 4 hours and needed hot water for kitten formula...just a suggestion.

The location of Mama Shelter Prague was perfect for us. It was away from the tourist side of Prague, which we liked very much. Good local bakeries and eateries. So much to recommend for fair prices. It’s my second stay at a Mama Shelter property, I’m not sure if this brand is for us. Its design is too busy and sometimes even childish with animations always in the background or in your face. The brand seems more like a 3 star property on steroids than a 4 star hotel. There are no in room amenities like tea, coffee or water.

Location is not near all of the action, but only about a 20 minute walk away. Room was clean, but facecloths/washcloths were not available. Disappointed that there wasn’t a coffee maker in the room. Otherwise - great visit!

I would give this a 10 if the food was consistent. Somedays it was fantastic and others the exact same meal was entirely different. (My 18-year old son ordered Goulash 4 times). The final time the waitress could tell he didn't like it. She comped the meal which honestly went a long way in earning trust. The waitstaff were all EXCELLENT. I remember everyone's nationalities but not there names. Bangladesh, Nepal and India. Very attentive and curious and helpful. Another example of the food. The first salad I ordered was amazing. So hard to do salad perfect. We ordered again and perfect. I tried the watermelon salad on the bad goulash day and it was sloppy, over dressed, too much vinegar, not assembled with care like other salads on other days. The biggest help was from Michael at the front desk. Actually the whole front desk. My son came to prague needing a haircut. The staff considered who would give the best recommendation and it pointed us to Michael who was just adorable and sunny and had the biggest smile. And he SAVED THE DAY. Seriously you need people like him with both taste and care. He helped a lot make the stay a huge success. And, I really appreciated how he and the staff accommodated our bags since we arrived early and left a few bags when we went to Poland for 4 days. The breakfast was quite amazing and loved the juicer. That was a great an unexpected touch. GREAT MUSIC too at all times. Means a lot. Bad music can kill the vibe and always great music at the right volume. So many hotels and restaurants get this wrong. Want to add hit or miss food to review title.

Comfortable stay, easy check-in and check out. The rooms are as advertised. Also, delicious breakfast! Staff are very professional. Great hotel overall, I would definitely come back and recommend this place to friends!

I was very excited to stay at Mama Shelter. We had a basically good experience, with some small notes. We loved the location, which (for us) put everything in walking distance, but wasn't in the center of everything. We loved the bar, especially the outdoor seating and the WOMEN bartenders (the men were useless and rude, including the supervisor). The room was the perfect size for us, but there were some issues with the plumbing (the sink clogged and the shower made noise, regardless of temperature). I was surprised to find that there wasn't conditioner in the room. When I asked the front desk staff, they told me there wasn't any and didn't even direct me to the area where I could purchase items, so I had to buy an entire bottle that then I had to leave behind. This may seem like a small issue, but it was very upsetting to me, because I HATE to waste things.

We are very pleased to hear that you had an overall good experience and that you particularly enjoyed our location, the size of your room, and our bar and outdoor seating area. At the same time, I am sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay. Regarding the plumbing, I apologize for the clogged sink and the noise coming from the shower. These are certainly not things you should have had to deal with, and I will share this feedback with our maintenance team so that the plumbing in the room can be checked. Regarding the conditioner, I completely understand your frustration, especially given your concern about unnecessary waste. Conditioner is not part of the standard bathroom amenities we provide in our rooms, in line with our current brand and sustainability concept. However, our reception team should certainly have been more helpful when you asked about it. You should have been clearly informed about where additional personal-care products can be purchased at the hotel, rather than simply being told that we did not provide conditioner. I am sorry that this resulted in you having to purchase an entire bottle that you ultimately had to leave behind. I am also sorry about your experience at the bar. We are pleased that you enjoyed the service from some members of the team, but every guest should receive the same level of professional and welcoming service. I will share your comments with our F&B management team, particularly regarding the interaction with the supervisor. More importantly, I fully agree with your comment about staff discussing colleagues within earshot of guests. Regardless of the circumstances or any internal issues within the team, such conversations should never take place in front of guests. Internal feedback and discussions about colleagues must be handled privately and professionally. I am particularly sorry that you were exposed to such a conversation while enjoying your time at the bar. This is not the impression of teamwork and professionalism that we want to give our guests, and I will address this directly with the team. Thank you again for your constructive feedback. While we are happy that the overall experience was a positive one, you have highlighted several concrete areas where we can improve.
