Noisy during the night

I have stayed 4 nights at your hotel. My room had windows on the hotel patio. During two nights I was woken by noisy talks and laughters in the patio. It took place around 11-12pm. I have called the reception and asked for intervention. It took 10 minutes to settle my complaint and I was explained that the noise was made by the people who were at the bar and entered the patio. During check-out I was asked how was my stay, so I have used this opportunity to report this noise in late night hours. I was very much surprised by the reaction of the lady at the reception who rather took a protective attitude to those who made the noise. She said that people who come for the weekend are here to party. In my opinion, this shows that partying guests are more important to Novotel staff than others and I must admit I do not agree with this. It would be interesting to see the opinion of the hotel management, before deciding where to stay during my next travel to Prague.

Zachowanie naszej recepcjonistki podczas Pana wymeldowania jest również niezgodne z naszymi standardami. Każdy Gość, niezależnie od celu wizyty, powinien czuć się u nas mile widziany i otoczony należytą troską. Bardzo przepraszam za tę sytuację i zapewniam, że podejmę wewnętrzne działania, aby uniknąć podobnych przypadków w przyszłości. Jeśli w przyszłości zdecyduje się Pan ponownie odwiedzić Pragę, do czego gorąco zachęcam, proszę o bezpośredni kontakt ze mną – z przyjemnością pomogę w przygotowaniu rezerwacji i zadbam o Pana komfortowy pobyt. Alright stay shame about refurbishment works

This was our 2nd visit to this hotel. We liked location and breakfast/bar was amazing. We were told a few months before going that the swimming pool would be closed as under refurbishment. Upon arrival, seen restaurant was covered up and a sign saying 1st floor for restaurant and bar. Not told at check in. Room was lovely refurbished room but no drawers or shelves for underwear/jumpers, etc. As we arrived early evening, we headed to bar which is in Ibis Hotel. Huge tree blocks the view to and from bar, not very inviting at all! Chairs wooden and not the comfiest. We had club sandwich and couple of cocktails before heading to unpack. Bar has NO atmosphere at all. Next morning, headed for breakfast (on our 1st visit this was amazing). Very disappointing. Not very organised and definitely not as good as last year. We tried the bar and few times gor drinks/cocktails but didn't stay long as we were only ones there and no atmosphere. We loved going to Sophie's Hostal across road from hotel. Staff friendly, inviting and lovely place. You should let customer's know about restaurant/bar closure before they come as we missed this wonderful area!!
