Breakfast is excellent and the rooms are great. Plenty of parking nearby and staff are friendly. Restaurant good but we have always booked this hotel so we can eat there, and we found the menu less inspiring than on previous visits.

Kind and caring staff! Comfortable room. Good food! We appreciated the room amenities- fridge, drinks etc as the temperatures were very hot! Great coffee machine. Don’t change these facilities, they are a huge positive! The slope up to the front of the hotel is rather steep for those with mobility issues.

Disapointed with Abbyville, but even more by the hotel. Booking error not corrected after call. No hot water and not warned. Only one unsuitable vegetarian option in restaurant. Terrible room and indifference to multiple concerns raised through the stay. We have points as compensation but unlikely trust this hotel chain again.

Rooms are comfortable, well cooled as it was a very hot day when we arrived. Bathroom is ok….. but shower area / cubicle is very tired and in need of TLC. Staff were fantastic and friendly. Would stay again although was a little pricey .

We stayed here as a last stop, following a driving holiday in France, just over an hour’s drive from Calais. Lots to explore in the region, which is well set up for cycling routes and outdoor activities. We had a twin room on the 3rd floor which was described as Classique, and whilst comfortable, was the least well equipped 4 star hotel room we stayed in during our trip. There was no fridge, there were no USB charge sockets and the aircon was very old and not very effective. All other Accor 4 star hotels we stayed in had good aircon with digital display and kept the room at the temperature at. In this hotel, the aircon was a dual and changing this made no discernible difference to the temperature. It was quite hot while we were there, 35 degrees, and the room was cooled, but definitely not to the temperature set on the dial, we could barely feel the cool air from the vents. We reserved a parking space in the small garage within the hotel - it was accessed from a side road which was a little convoluted to get to round a one way system but we found it. Disappointed that hotel staff use the car park area with the sliding door open for their break which meant we arrived through a cloud of smokers - the garage had a lingering smell of smoke the whole time we were there which was unpleasant. When we left for a day out, and they were having their cigarette break near the open doorway, I had to manoeuvre my car round them, they didnt make any effort to move out of the way. The restaurant food was fantastic - I had a local crepes/pancake dish which was delicious and a pavlova which was divine. The service in the restaurant was good. The breakfast was good, nice selection of the usual pastries, breads and cereals as well as fresh fruit and yoghurts with nuts/seeds. Crepes were also available which was lovely. Breakfast was busy but food and drinks kept well stocked up, and staff were very quick to replenish anything that had run out. The hotel has conference rooms and one of these is the breakfast overflow area. The decor was more tired in this area and the chairs were good quality but very old stackable conference chairs which didn’t match the usual dining area and made the experience less special. The lift was very small and cramped, so we chose to use the stairs after taking our luggage to our room. The room was awkwardly shaped - the bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom area. The bathroom door was only place so that I had to close it then open it again to get past my bed. The beds were comfortable though the sheets weren’t quite large enough for the single beds meaning they didn’t stay in place when we slept and exposed the mattresses which I was uncomfortable about. The room had a desk and kettle, no coffee machine, most other 4 star hotels have a coffee machine included in even basic rooms. Overall, it was a comfortable stay but felt very basic for a 4 star hotel - the restaurant was the main draw I would say.

We have stayed in this hotel every year, for the past five years, on our journey back from holiday in France and on each occasion the hotel has been excellent. The hotel is welcoming, has a good atmosphere and is very clean and tidy. The bedrooms are well furnished, clean and very pleasant. The staff are friendly, professional, efficient and very helpful. We ate dinner in the restaurant. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Breakfast on the next morning was exceptionally well presented with superb choice including a wide choice gluten free foods which my wife required. Thank you for a most agreeable stay.

I booked this Mercure hotel because I’ve stayed at Mercure hotels before and always found the rooms to be comfortable. Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The room was very basic, with no fridge, limited space, and an unpleasant smell coming from the kitchen extraction fans. This was not what I expected for a room costing £150 per night. I was actually considering booking the Ibis instead, which was half the price, and I believe I would have ended up with a better room. The restaurant service was excellent, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and looked after us well. However, the quality of the room did not justify the price we paid, and overall I left feeling disappointed.

I really appreciated the warm welcome and the quality of the bed and bathroom . The air conditioning was really appreciated too! But we had a few disappointments: Double glazing did not stop street noises. The windows are getting old. The handle of one of the windows came off into our hands! No little fridge in the room was a disappointment, although we had a standard room, it was still quite an expensive room at 130 euros + a night. One evening, the electricity to all the sockets and to the TV was lost and it took 2 phone calls and around 90 minutes before it came back. I felt bad because the young receptionist was having to deal with all this on her own. The staff downstairs are totally amazing but they are in too SMALL NUMBERS! this is a big hotel and it deserves to be better staffed. I do not know why there is a shortage. Is Accor not paying their staff enough? This is a real shame. When we went into our room the first day, we found someone's room card. the cleaning was generally not great. My son and his small family had a 'privilege' room and the bathroom bin which contained dirty nappies from their baby was not changed for 2 days!
