I usually have good things to say about the IBIS Abbeville. I have stayed at the hotel many times over the last 10 years, and usually find the experience great. This time having booked the half board option, we were delayed on the way to the hotel and I called to explain the situation. The hotel said they might be able to put some food on plates for us which was a nice suggestion, but it would have been too late to eat when we arrived. I had a flexible booking so I could have cancelled the booking when i called and rebooked a room only deal but in general the hotel has been very accommodating for last minute changes in the past. This time they weren't and charged me for the meal even though I expect that they know there are problems with travel from the UK. A little more flexibility would be appreciated at times like this. I am not sure whether I will use the Abbeville hotel again.
