I’ve stayed here every years bar the pandemic years. Great location, lovely restaurant and simple rooms. First two still apply. The rooms have had every little bit of comfort and homeliness stripped out of them to the point where not only is it impossible to use your own hairdryer but it’s not even possible to charge a phone or tablet. Next year, for the first time, I’ll be looking at what else is around the area.

Nice budget hotel with ample parking facility. Very good breakfast with dining available if required. Clean bedroom and shower room, and very comfy bed. Downside, lack of power points and usb charging and only one chair was disappointing in a room for two people

Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was small but clean, decoration was tired and dated. No Tea or coffee making facilities, which after a long journey is necessary, even just a kettle would be helpful. We ate there in the evening food was basic but good value. Breakfast was excellent.

Easy to book. Pleasant Reception staff. Room a bit smelly, with clanky sliding door to very basic bathroom. Bed comfortable. Linen clean. Restaurant really good and reasonably priced. Breakfast nothing special but ok.

We stay at Abbeville on a regular basis on our way to The South Of France.  This time we were in a refurbished room that resembled a dental surgery rather than a place where we were to spend the night. There was no plugs, apart from under the headboard of the bed. And nowhere to put any appliance that was plugged in. A small round table was all there was with one single chair and nowhere to put a suitcase, let alone two of them. There was a white framed piece of metal that I believe was a place to put clothes but again totally impractical. There was nowhere to put any toiletries in the bathroom. There was no sound from the TV.  Overall, a horrendous experience with no room to 'swing the proverbial cat!' On the upside the evening meal was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. So, to summarise, 'sack the architect of these rooms' who was obviously living on a far away planet and have another refurbishment that meets customer needs.  My only hope is that on my return journey I will not be allocated a room like this one. We were very disappointed with the room design on this stay.

The stay in the hotel itself was adequate. Reason for the low score is that I twice emailed the hotel, in advance of our stay, asking about the availability of the EV chargers, which I now know are both out of service. I had no acknowledgment, no reply, nothing, just radio silence and that is not acceptable at all.

Stayed here for an overnight stop. Hotel is quiet and well located with free parking. Dinner was good and breakfast excellent. The room was comfortable however there are a few areas that need attention. The bathroom main light inoperative. Towel holder broken, toilet roll holder loose (drops the roll on the floor!) Bedside lights also need attention.
