La présence des forces de l'ordre à l'entrée de l'hotel était liée à une situation extérieure. Nous regrettons que cette situation ait pu impressionner votre famille . Nos chambres sont disponibles pour 3 personnes , un lit superposé avec un kit de couchage ,vous préparez un lit douillet avec une couette ,un oreiller dans cette housse . One of the rooms we booked had not been cleaned. We decided to leave as there was a several drunk men wandering around, and as a female I did not feel safe. There was no staff to be seen. Went to a different hotel

We were welcomed by police pointing tasers at someone at the front door. Needless to say this terrified our 3 young children. No mention of this at check in and when I asked, the receptionist simply shrugged. Turns out you have to make the single bed yourself. Pleased in retrospect as we found countless dead bugs in and under the bed. Rooms were TINY and suffocatingly hot. We shall never return and suggest you do the same!

Our car broke down in the first few hours of our holiday and was taken to the Renault garage in Abbeville, which meant that we had to find overnight accommodation. The Ibis Budget Hotel was the closest to the garage and had availability. We were made to feel very welcome by the lovely receptionist, Katya, and settled into our room. The room was compact but clean and functional, with a great shower (although water escapes under the door) and separate toilet. The only issue we had was that this was during the recent June heatwave and the room was incredibly hot with no air-conditioning or fan. We slept with the window open but as we weren't far from the A16, the traffic noise from about 5am was quite loud. We were able to find a place to have dinner that was about a 15 minute walk away (Le Comptoir du Malt), which was very good. There are other places nearby too that are walkable if you don't have a car. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, continental with a great choice and was replenished when items ran out. We were also able to leave our luggage (and there were two large bags and another item) in a safe place at the hotel whilst we returned to the Renault garage and tried to sort out car hire, which took us most of the day. We had to return to Abbeville at the end of our holiday to collect our repaired car from the Renault garage, and it was necessary to spend another night in Abbeville. We had no hesitation in booking the same Ibis Budget hotel and had a cheaper rate as we were able to book in advance. As the weather had cooled, our stay this time was more comfortable. This hotel is great value for money, ideal for easy access to the motorway and a five minute drive from the centre of Abbeville. The manager (Sandrine), two reception staff (apologies for not obtaining the gentleman's name) and the ladies cleaning the rooms were all very helpful and friendly. Ideal for a stopover.

Ibis budget buffet breakfasts are usually good - but this was the best we’ve had. The quality of the baguettes & the ‘viennoiserie’ (that’s croissants & pains au chocolat, to you & me) was 1st class - & everything else was fresh & plentiful too. That said - the lack of extra pillows (& the reason given) were very disappointing. The receptionist claimed she had none because guests pinch them! Never had that in any other ibis - so why here? If it really is a problem (which I doubt) - just take a deposit! Or go & buy some more! Some people need 2 pillows for health reasons, it’s not acceptable to have none. This ibis is located on a fairly soulless light industrial estate - which didn’t help initial impressions, but it’s peaceful & quiet & not too far into town

I know it’s labelled as a ‘Budget’ hotel but it really wasn’t good. The room was tiny and actually reminded me of a small caravan with everything crammed into a small space. There is no AC and it was really hot, the shower kept going between very hot and cold. The 2 small towels were little more than thin material, one was actually stained. I was due to stay again in August but have cancelled to stay somewhere else not much more expensive. The cost for what we experienced was not value for money.

Good room, but prepaid breakfasts seem to have reduced in options and quantities available. Not expecting a 'banquet' but minimal food available does not represent value for money. This seems to be a continuing trend over the years we have stopped there.

We stayed for one night for ease of travel to the eurotunnel in the morning. There is a Lidl nearby so you can get provisions there. The rooms were very clean and the shower good. Towels were good quality. Very quiet rooms during the night. The hotel is dog- friendly too. Beds very comfortable - excellent quality.

We did not know what to expect, we just needed a quick overnight stop on way to the Shuttle. We were not disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable, dog was welcome too! All staff we came in contact with, were very helpful and friendly. Great customer service. A nice Pizzeria around the corner. Secured parking. One to remember!
