Location is fine, but the service needs improvement. The check-in experience was semi-decent, despite Gold status; in the room the leftover food from previous guests were still in the fridge, on the floor next to the bed was a room keycard, the toilet brush was still in the toilet. The staff reacted semi-professional, when asked to take care of it. All in all, needs to be handled in a more professional manner.

Great city centre location. We were visiting for the Christmas markets and this was ideal as in walking distance for a number of markets, shops, bars and restaurants. Hotel itself was lovely and quiet considering the location. Rooms were clean and warm after a cold day exploring the city. Check in was very slow, we were originally asked to wait 15mins as we arrived at 2.45pm (check in was 3pm) but after 45mins we gave up - left our bags with reception and went exploring. I think there was an issue with the computer system but no updates were given out to the many customers waiting. We followed a previous reviewers advice and got the the train from the airport which was €7 for two of us. Super easy and a 15min walk from the train station to hotel on a straight road. We decided to get a taxi on departure due to an early flight and this was €47 (not the €30 reception had advised us) so definitely worth getting the train to save some money! Overall a pleasant stay and would book again if retuning to Cologne!

Check in was 3.00pm and we were still waiting at 3.40 as computer has broken. Manager was accommodating but girls behind reception were clearly taking about us and made it quite obvious which is not a nice atmosphere to be in. Nice clean room and everything we needed to make it comfortable.
