Stay was satisfactory except for a couple items. First, the room was nice size. Minibar was a nice perk. Nice view of the cathedral. Staff were generally attentive, helpful and friendly. The bar upstairs was a nice surprise, especially to be able to use our welcome drink there. Parking was secure. Unfortunately it seemed one of the lifts was inactive, resulting in long waiting times, especially on the 11th floor. The room always seemed too hot, even with the temperature turned all the way down. We also could hear bass from the bar upstairs from our room, although it was not completely disruptive and they stopped at an alright time (1AM, i think). The baby bed was not in our room upon check-in, despite us including it n our booking on the app (i think) We believe more improvement should be made in the breakfast restaurant. Food was good, great selection. Staff seemed overworked which is common these days, especially at Accor hotels, i am noticing. The was one unfortunate incident where I accidentally grabbed TWO broken glasses in a row, from different stacks next to the coffee machine. The second one resulted in a cut on my hand which the lady at the front desk helped me to disinfect and put a plaster (I wish I remember her name because she was so helpful and nice.) Before i went to get treated, I informed the staff about the broken glass near the coffee machine and that it should be removed. Finding broken glasses in the food area was disturbing as we were with our two children (2 and 4). This is not the standard we are used to at Accor (or any) hotels. My wife and I were not willing to risk finding more broken dishes. My wife and children were rather distressed by my cut and no longer wished to eat. We simply packed up and left after informing the front desk. I popped my head back in the restaurant on the way back to the room and the broken glasses were still at the coffee machine. I insisted again they should be removed. The hostess at the restaurant told one of the servers to remove it again but i’m not sure if it was done promptly. As compensation for my injury, ending breakfast early and accompanying inconvenience for my family, I was offered to have a drink on the hotel. I had to decline as it was only ~10AM had a long drive that day. It was suggested perhaps something could be arranged to help our next stay be more enjoyable. In the end we checked out shortly after and went on our way. I would stay again but would be watching the glasses and buffet food at breakfast very closely for stray or broken glass. The level of customer service (or lack of) provided by the front office is shocking. Very bad impression from check-in until check-out. Zero recognition for Accor member. No explanation about the room, hotel facilities, where to use drink vouchers, etc. Check-out experience was similarly bad. Will never stay here again.
