The hotel was reasonably well situated to get around Cologne but our room had no reliable WiFi connection for the whole 5 night duration of our stay. We complained about it repeatedly and nothing changed. We even asked to be moved to a room which had working WiFi access and this was declined. There was no apology and no response to an email complaint. We were simply told WiFi is free which is completely pointless if it doesn't work. It was incredibly inconvenient as my wife is chronically asthmatic and needs to rest for long periods during the day and she needs to use the WiFi connection to communicate with family in Japan and we both need to to research which galleries, museums and restaurants to visit wherever we are staying.

The Pullman is always a great choice, but Cologne Pullman was exceptional. The room was spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the view of the Cathedral was outstanding, location was great and the staff were incredible. Overall a wonderful stay! I'd stay there again without any hesitation.

It was a very nice stay. We had breakfast included and it's very rich in options and all tastes well. All hotel staff were friendly and the cleaning of he room was very good. The multiple door hangers to let staff know wether or not we wanted cleaning was good too. The Pullman in Cologne really lays in a good spot not too far from the station as well.

I booked a room with a view. The view didn't disappoint, although there was no balcony and the window could have been cleaner. The bedroom was very small and the bathroom even smaller, with no bath. The bathroom toiletries were good. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and the curtains blocked out all sunlight. Although I made the booking for two people, the room was only made up for one person (one robe, one drinking glass, one teacup). When I complained to reception, no action was taken. No room service was available after 10pm, which defeats the purpose of offering room service. Although I left the do-not disturb sign on my door all morning, I exchanged it for the please make up my room sign at 1pm. By 7pm, my room still hadn't been cleaned, so I complained to reception, upon which I was told that no housekeeping was available after 6pm. I asked for my minibar to be restocked but was also told that this could not be done after 6pm. The receptionist showed no interest in finding any kind of solution. It felt as though the hotel only operated part-time and was not interested in offering good service to its guests. The small gym only offered cardio machines and a couple of pairs of dumbbells.
