We spent three nights at the hotel in October. The hotel is in a good location, easy to also access the BTS. We enjoyed breakfast in the club lounge on the 27th floor and nightly drinks. The staff in the lounge are very hard working, friendly and professional. We did have breakfast one day in the restaurant, the food was quite average and it was missing the variety of beautiful Thai fruits that we find at all hotels, there was no papaya or passionfruit. We spent some time by the pool, this area is small but adequate. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but it was overshadowed by the condition of the hotel, it is in desperate need of refurbishing or renovation, this is currently not the standard of a five start hotel.

I like the white rooms in this hotel but they say they upgrade people and they dont. I'm a platinum member and have my roaster of usual hotels in BKK. This one is losing it a bit. Food at breakfast was awful, nothing but patisseries or pork based dishes. Not a single Thai dish. Lounge is outdated. And the room I had (and the floor) smelled heavily of chemical products. The bath tube was not cleaned every day. Same for the bathroom mat. And the price while I was there was definitely up. This hotel in my opinion doesn't justify 5 stars. The Scarlett bar staff also refused to honor the 20% off, which made no sense given that S/O and Sofitel in town have no pb with it.
