Front of house Staff were not very good, Breakfast experience was BAD! No eggs, so asked for some and the staff member came and checked that I really was correct. She reluctantly said she would get some and when they were placed in the warmer I went to get some and they were stone cold and watery. When we checked out the staff member on duty stood at the central table, arm oustretched so I had to walk across the room to give her the key. Guests were at best ignored. Housekeeping team were brilliant - they said good morning! One person on afternoon reception always said hello and wished us a good day. There was no language issue as we live in France and speak French!! It was also rather uncomfortable with the traveller encampment next door (which out room overlooked) hammering repairs to their caravans and breaking into the empty buildings - this was obviously out of the hotel's control

The hotel was great. Room basic but clean and for one night more than acceptable. The ambiance in the lobby, bar, lounge and dining areas was excellent and most importantly the staff were superb
