Breakfast was fantastic. Fresh juices, fruit, coffee, tea, and traditional Spanish tortillas (Egg, not corn) are prepared daily. Along with loads of other food items to pick at. This hotel is in an excellent location. The neighborhood of Malasaña is hip and filled with bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. Many are literally down the block. Try La Musa two blocks away for some fresh takes on tapas, and great cocktails. The Bilbao Metro station is one block away. There you catch the #1 train which runs north to south through the center of Madrid and will take you to shopping at Gran Via and Sol stations, or take you to the Museums at Estación Del Arte. Or take the #4, which runs east to west, and can connect you to the #8 which takes you to the airport. The rooms are clean. The hot water is HOT! The staff is friendly and are easy to communicate with. And you can't beat the location. This is not a Luxury hotel. And it isn't trying to be. It is a great home base for starting your day, and roaming around the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

I chose this hotel for its location near the home of my son and his family. It is in a great area close to restaurants and shops and several excellent parks and museums. I didn’t book breakfast here and so I cannot comment on that aspect, but I thought the access to chilled filtered water for my water bottle was a lovely touch in the heat of Madrid. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I was disappointed that the room did not have a glass or mugs, just two paper cups and that there was no kettle or small fridge. These additions would have made the time here more pleasant. I was there for ten days and felt the room cleaning was ok but not excellent.
