1. Extremely tight maneuvering to get in and out of underground parking garage! 2. No lift (elevator) from parking to hotel. 3. Security card reader disactivated in lift. 4. No refrigerator in room. 5. No mineral water in room. 6. Broiled eggs (almost uncooked), to be replaced at breakfast. 7. Very amateurish website ( this applies to Accor in general). 8. No recognition for previous Accor frequent guest membership. No points transfer, no attempt to contact me. Poor, if I compare to IHG!!’ 9. Complicated reservation system. Landlines were out of order. Finally got through a few days later and booked a three single bed, bedroom! I had no other open options. When I checked in they were puzzled I did not book a single queen size (or double bed room). 10. Staff all VERY Pleasant, but it seems that Accor does not train professionally all to reach a good level. I have stayed in a few hundred hotels of the different chains worldwide in over 40 countries in the last 40 years, as my profession required me to travel a lot. 11. I received this survey request in German? Why? Conclusion: too many things not right! The hotel needs a renovation, but IBIS / Accor management needs a goose shake-up!!!

The stay, overall was fine. Breakfast was pretty good and the hotel was clean and mostly well maintained. However, the air conditioning in our room didn’t work and the window wouldn’t open. This meant the room was very hot and stuffy. The hotel staff were okay but could have been a bit friendlier. The location is quite good, just a short walk to the town centre.

Unable to enter the car park as it has a barrier with a keypad. The code is not given to you before entering and there was no response from the hotel when I tried to contact them from the carpark entrance, it took me 45 mins to get into the carpark and from the barrier I had to reverse uphill as I could not get in and there was another car behind me wanting to get in. The room was very basic, no facilities to make a cup of tea or coffee, no fridge either and 3 broken hangers in the wardrobe. There was no remote control for the TV in the room, I had to ask for one from reception which was provided quickly. Mattress was very thin and uncomfortable and the heating did not really work. I have never stayed at an IBIS before and probably won't again.

We take note of your feedback and regret that our establishment did not meet your expectations. Regarding access to the parking lot, it is currently affected by neighborhood construction work beyond our control, which can indeed complicate entry and communication of the code. We are aware of this temporary inconvenience and are doing everything possible to limit its effects. Our establishment offers a level of equipment in line with ibis brand standards, deliberately focused on simplicity and functionality. However, the issues you mention could have been reported earlier at reception so that they could be corrected during your stay. We regret that this first experience was not a positive one for you and will take your comments into account as part of our continuous improvement process. Hotel making making strides happy with budget hotel. Other parts of the building under construction which is ugly. Think office blocked converted. The location felt safe and next to a beautiful river and park. I would return.

We were disappointed that a comfort room had a cubicle shower room and the carpet seemed grubby, although this may just have been the colour and pattern. In addition, a small pot of L'Occitane Divine cream "disappeared" from my washbag after the room had been cleaned after our first night's stay. We had left the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door, as we did not feel the room needed cleaning, and as additional security. I did not notify the reception team when I noticied the cream was missing, in case I had misplaced the item. However, having completely unpacked now that I am home, I can now confidently say that the pot of cream disappeared from my bag. I do not expect reimbursement: it was a small amount of cream which I had decanted from a larger jar to take with me on holiday. Thankfully, I still had some sample sachets of the cream so was able to treat my sensitive facial skin. However, a full sized jar costs £82.00 in the UK, which is expensive. Consequently, this marred our stay. We also think you should be aware that you have staff who pilfer small, yet potentionally valuable, items.

This is the first time we have received a report of such an incident, and we take it very seriously. Even though it was a small container, we fully understand that the loss of a personal item, especially one so specific and valuable, can affect your overall experience of your stay. We sincerely regret that this may have marred your experience with us. Rest assured that we will discuss this with our team to remind them of best practices and reinforce vigilance.
