I searched for a hotel with aircondition, that didn’t work. I searched for at good breakfast, but that wasn’t good. The pancakes was not fresh, the eggs weren’t boiled. I wouldn’t never go back to this hotel.

The hotel has a very good location, it is convenient to arrive by car, the staff was very friendly. The room and bathroom would need some refurbishment, but everything was very clean, and it was perfect for one night.

Hotel is within short walking distance from city center and nicely located next to a park nearing the Doubs river and side-by-side to the Casino. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was plenty and good to start the day. Now the property is outdated: outside/inside commons need maintenance on plenty of small details. Rooms have ok furniture yet I wonder if this is the type of furniture for Mercure brand as it feels basic yet clean. One of our two rooms had wall damage as well as badly refurbished bathrooms. Sinks in both rooms are aged. Even at breakfast, the trays used to clear tableware from the table were so heavily damaged, it give you the perspective "not important to replace them, who cares". I am not sure I would recommend the place, there are more boutique-style hotels that would provide better value for the cost.

Positive points first: the team is excellent — very friendly, welcoming, and genuinely professional. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and the breakfast is good with no major complaints. However, the hotel itself is completely outdated. The furniture is old, the overall look and feel clearly need renovation. The bed is small and not so comfortable, which is disappointing for a Mercure property. What surprised me the most was the absence of a safe in the room — something that should be a basic standard in an international hotel chain. Overall, the staff does their best and delivers good service, but the physical condition of the hotel and room facilities do not meet expectations. Without a serious renovation, I would not choose to stay here again.
