Hotel is within short walking distance from city center and nicely located next to a park nearing the Doubs river and side-by-side to the Casino. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was plenty and good to start the day. Now the property is outdated: outside/inside commons need maintenance on plenty of small details. Rooms have ok furniture yet I wonder if this is the type of furniture for Mercure brand as it feels basic yet clean. One of our two rooms had wall damage as well as badly refurbished bathrooms. Sinks in both rooms are aged. Even at breakfast, the trays used to clear tableware from the table were so heavily damaged, it give you the perspective "not important to replace them, who cares". I am not sure I would recommend the place, there are more boutique-style hotels that would provide better value for the cost.

Nico location. Very old fashioned, 1 of the rooms was not smelling well and the breakfast was moderate.
