We are frequent guests at this hotel and have always found it to be of a very high standard, which is why this most recent experience was particularly surprising. We had originally been unable to secure a booking with you as the hotel was booked out and were booked to stay elsewhere at a cheaper rate but upon re checking you had accommodation become available at a higher price and we changed to stay with you as we usually throughly enjoy our experience. Upon arrival, we requested to check our car into valet parking earlier than usual. Unfortunately, the young female attendant at the reception desk was less than helpful and made us feel as though we were causing an inconvenience by asking. This was not the welcoming experience we have come to expect. Once in our room, we encountered several issues. The television was not working, the jug was faulty, there was no milk provided and insufficient coffee sachets, and the bathroom had not been cleaned to the usual standard we associate with Novotel. The following morning, our experience at the buffet breakfast was equally disappointing. There were no clean tables available, no cutlery, and several food items had been depleted and were not being replenished in a timely manner. As regular guests, we had also been scheduled to stay another night this week at the New Plymouth Novotel. However, due to the experience in Wellington, we felt compelled to cancel our further accommodation. We wanted to bring this to your attention, as this stay did not reflect the level of service and quality we have consistently experienced in the past. We hope this feedback is helpful and that future guests receive the standard of service Novotel is known for.

Due to full occupancy with Ed Sheeran concert when you stayed with us, we fell short this time and we are truly sorry for that . I would like to express our apologies for the initial reception you received upon your arrival. It is our goal to provide a welcoming and accommodating environment, and it is disappointing to learn that we fell short in this regard. I also regret that your experience at the buffet breakfast was less than satisfactory. Disappointingly after requesting a room on a higher level, we were allocated level 4 facing the motorway :( The water pressure in the shower was incredibly low and the shower head itself clogged up. Then on the last night the family in the room next to us kept us awake nearly all night !! So not as wonderful stay as normal.
