We stayed Saturday overnight to catch the morning ferry. Our check in and car parking was made easy by the fabulous Ahmed who went out of his way to assist us two, confused oldies. Enjoyed the helpful staff, lovely rooms, easy access to shopping via elevator. Had a problem with air-conditioning not working first night, receptionist changed my room to one that worked.

Poor Room Service

The room was clean, tidy and had plenty of space. Staff were friendly, however the room service was dreadful. My breakfasts were never at the requested time, despite ordering within agreed timeframes. I had to chase up every morning - one morning the order was still outside the door in the morning, having not been uplifted by staff. I was also advised that the parking rate was $25 per night, but was charged $30. I'll be back, but these matters need attending to!

I do appreciate your comment in regards to the time it has taken for your In-Room-Dining order to be delivered and I sincerely apologise for the shortcomings in this matter. I sincerely apologise for the confusion in parking. We do have 2 option for parking. Underneath out hotel you are able to self park for $30. We also have an agreement with the parking building next do with is $25 per night. On this occasion we will refund you the difference in the parking rates back to your card. Prior to Covid I stayed frequently and am only just returning more regularly. Efficient service, high standards and truly the most comfortable bed and pillows. I am down mostly for business so the location is excellent.

The hotel is well located in the Terrace

We arrived at the hotel in the middle of rush hour and drove straight into an area marked Novotel Parking but ended up in the Valet parking area. The lifts to the reception were out of order so we had to walk along the Terrace to get to the reception. Fortunately one of the staff helped us carry our cases up the road. We were given a room on the second floor with views into office buildings . I would have expected as a holder of an Accor silver card a better view although the room was quite satisfactory. We had two evening meals in the hotel dining room . The menu we felt was a bit limited and the meal just average . The breakfast however was good. The staff we dealt with were always helpful and pleasant

As much as we would have liked to upgrade you to another room type, the high occupancy of the hotel had the rooms all sold out and left us with no other options on your recent stay with us. Wonderful stay after crossing over with the ferry. Really pleased that the duty manager that evening was able to assist another guest with a room, after she was told the hotel was fully booked.

The hotel is starting to look a tad tired. I also note that the picture of the reception area on the front of this survey is nothing like the actual reception area of the Novotel Wellington The Terrace. Disappointing to find that NONE of the hotel's in-room safes were working. Staff were very efficient and helpful. The promised text on things to do in Wgtn never arrived however this is probably an automated notification from Accor rather than the Novotel Wellington. Also disappointing that you can not reserve one of the limited carparks until you check-in - not helpful for those of us who work for a living and hence end up checking in at the end of a long work day & driving several hundred kms. Luckily we managed to get one this trip.

Tired property. Needs a ream out. No dinner service. Offered a snack menu prepared by wait staff. Not even a chef on duty Appalling for this standard of hotel. Overall well below what you would expect from a Novatel. As an Accor member I will never stay in this hotel again

We normally stay at the Sofitel in Wgtn, however it's easy when travelling as a family to get 2 x double rooms for us and our 3 teenagers. Location is good - right on Lambton Quay but the hotel itself is very basic and quality of food isn't great. But on the plus side it's more reasonably priced than some other hotels - so, worth the money and good for a family group.

The staff are extremely pleasant, helpful and accommodating. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and nearly fell apart it was so tender. The location is great, go down in the lifts straight into Lambton Quay. I enjoyed a room upgrade and welcome gift on arrival.

I spent a long weekend in Wellington shopping with a group of girls. We enjoyed our stay at the Novotel as it was central to shopping and quick and easy to get ubers to go out for dinner. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful

Waited 40 minutes for breakfast missing fruit and yoghurt had run out. Lifted receiver for phone in room and very dirty. No shower cap in bathroom. understaffed have been going there for years not sure I'll be going back. I would have have thought in these uncertain times service would have been better considering you cannot welcome overseas guests.

Room OK, Staff great. Food very average at best. No buffet breakfast!! due to COVID, Tick box breakfast Menu confused the kitchen staff so they decided to just give us a slice of toast. The quality of the food was simply dreadful and should not be served. Period. Staff very pleasant and friendly.
