We had ordered a bottle od bubbles to be in the room on arrival, this was not there and we had to ask for this and were given it in the bar to drink there. The aircon did not seem to be working, it was a warm night and the aircon did not seem to make a difference. rooms are starting to look dated.

Clean tidy rooms for a good price.... would have been handy to be told we could go through the restaurant to use the lift to go to Lambton Quay though :) Check in staff were not very engaging ...cheerful and friendly would have been nicer than cold and business like. Check out was lovely, warm and friendly and engaging .... would be nice to have had that at the start

We stayed at Novotel Wellington for a city break. Charging extra for a flat white despite breakfast being included felt unreasonable and left a poor impression.

The hotel is in a great location, staff were very friendly and helpful, I was having trouble with wi-fi connection and the staff member did everything he possibly could to sort it for me. The dinner meal was delicious.

We had five days staying in the Novotel Wellington. This is our first time stay there, location is perfect in the centre of CBD. They have a lift go down straight on Lambton Quay. But it close at 7pm Hotel decor is a bit dated, room is very clean though. We are very happy about the hotel buffet too. Two Con: Unfortunately the staff in the restaurant not trained enough. This is what happen every morning at the breakfast Staff: Which room are you Us: 713,715 Staff: you pay (pointing to the machine) Us: no it's included Staff: what room number Us: 713,715 Staff: ok I will check We just ignored her and walk to our table This happened two mornings with the same staff, don't they have a computer to check before ask us to pay? And the third morning, we had this interesting conversation with another staff, this time just me and my husband at the restaurant Staff: which room are you? Us: 713,715, we have two rooms and breakfast included Staff: she looked at the computer and said: one adult one child? In my mind: (Do we look like one adult one child standing in front of you?) Us: we have TWO rooms Staff: okay I will check Doesn't affect our stay but it is something the hotel needed to be improved And the second con is the hotel lift doesn't need the room key to access You can just rock into the lift and press any floor even at night time. Security alert!!!!
