The check in was slightly annoying as staff couldn’t find our names under the company. The room is alright, curtains cover most of the light, beds are nice, included stuff like an iron, fridge and a safe. The one thing that made the stay very annoying is a lack of a toilet brush. Please add a toilet brush to rooms. It makes keeping the toilet clean so much easier. Another thing that would be nice to add is dedicated floor towel for the shower. We had to use regular towels to not get water all over the floor. Otherwise the room was fine.

I had a great stay in a lovely big room on the 5th floor. It was really comfortable. Unfortunately the jacuzzi looked like it needed serious maintenance. It was dirty on the floor and one jet was spurting from the edge. Despite the jacuzzi I’d definitely come back.

The facilities and service were generally good. However, as a Diamond member of the Accor loyalty program, I would have expected a little more recognition and attention, such as an effort to offer a room upgrade when available and a small welcome amenity in the room upon arrival. These are gestures I have consistently received at other Novotel hotels, and they make a meaningful difference to the overall experience.

Such a pleasant and comfortable stay in the centre of Edinburgh. I stayed only one night during the book festival period. I had to say that the amenities were excellent. The breakfast in the morning was a real treat. I didn’t get to use the additional facilities like swimming pool but would certainly try next time. Also it’s very accessible in terms of location. The internet was also super fast so it’s excellent for business travellers too.

Had an overnight stay and the location was great as we were going to the Tattoo at the Castle which was only about a 15 minute walk away. The room was comfortable. The price did not include breakfast. This was another charge of £21.50 which we didn't pay as I thought it quite expensive for what you got.

Had an amazing time whilst staying in Edinburgh at this hotel. The reception staff where brilliant with our disabled son and went out of there way for us and him.

We booked two rooms, including an Executive room with a very odd layout where the sink was outside the bathroom. More importantly, the air-cooling system in the other room was not working. The reception team was extremely condescending, repeatedly trying to convince us that it was “cooling, not air conditioning,” without even properly checking the room. The night-shift lady was particularly rude. The next day, the reception staff was unaware of the issue and initially repeated the same explanation. Only later did they acknowledge that the cooling wasn’t working and agree to change the room. Overall, the way the issue was handled was far more disappointing than the technical problem itself. The booking was also done to pay at hotel, however the card was charged before I checked in

The hotel was very nice, clean, and the staff friendly. The rooms were comfortable other than a lack of air flow which made my room stuffy, especially at night. My major issue was being assigned an executive suite, my key not working, and that suite being give to someone else by the time I got back down to the registration desk. I was then assigned a non-executive room. That was disappointing.
