Some of the team was very kind and helpful. Other members were not as accommodating. When I went down for breakfast, the employee made me feel uncomfortable about the fact that it wasn't included in my stay and that I was paying for it -- I had no issue paying at all, but they kept looking at me as if it was a strange arrangement. Before traveling here, I also tried to shift my dates. The hotel was willing to accommodate and even offered a 100 pound food stipend to be kind; all that was left was for the third-party travel agency to comply. The third party travel agency did not comply; upon learning this, the hotel pulled the 100 pound food stipend and created a condition that it was only for me if I moved my hotel dates, which was surprising to read and unfortunate to learn.

Room was not ready when I arrived even though I am an Accor member and was staying for 10 nights. I thought they would have my room ready early, but I had to wait until the usual 3pm check in time. Cleaning staff are very nice and helpful, but could not clean the room quickly when I was out midday. Some days I took the Accor points and did not have the room cleaned, but when I did want it cleaned, it would be helpful to have it done between 10am and 4pm, when I was out.

Very chilled weekend other than- Staff spoke very little and handing room keys in the 3 staff at reception just smiled and took the keys and not a word. 2 young kids running up and down in lift then sitting in the bar without a parent (aged about 10) was 11pm and nobody seemed bothered they had no parent with them. We took days out for most of the day so very little time in the hotel but it was very clean and comfortable.

great experience - was a bit confused by our rooms accessible bathroom. It was outdates and rundown and not as functional for our use. The shower drain was located right where we would stand making it awkward, as moving the shower head to stand further out basically flooded our entire bathroom. More towels would have been nice along with body lotion in the bathroom Door also needs some improvement- heavy and loud to close Nowhere to hang towels after use - need a towel rack or hooks along with a towel near the since to dry hands. Toilet paper was awkward to reach behind us and up high.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent stay. I am not posting this comment publicly because my stay at your hotel was actually very nice, and the food was delicious. However, I believe it is better to share some areas for improvement directly with you for the future. As someone with celiac disease, I noticed that the gluten-free breakfast setup is not fully safe. While there is a designated gluten-free area with bread and cereals, the rest of the breakfast buffet should be better separated—or at least have all gluten-free items grouped closely together—to minimize the risk of cross-contamination. Additionally, the pool area needs some attention. There are black tiles around the pool, mold on the white grates, and also mold on the wall in the pool area. The pool was closed for a few hours for maintenance during my stay, but unfortunately, the surrounding area was not cleaned. Seeing that kind of dirt made using the pool quite unpleasant. Hotel is very close to Edinburgh Old Town, the location is great. Also the room was very nice. It didn’t have an AC though, which for me wasn’t a big deal since it was October, but can imagine it will be a bid deal during summer months (the hotel is quite new so it should in theory have AC in all rooms). Staff is ok, some are super nice, some are just average. The bigger dissapointment was the breakfast. The staff first had hard time to find me in the list even when I showed them my room number (I had paid for breakfast). Also there was no free seating, which was strange taking into account the restaurant was far from full. The food was a small dissapointment, especially the bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage and mushrooms. The mushrooms were not fried and seemed to be only heated from a can. The bacon wasn’t crispy at all and the scrambled eggs were super dry and most likely made from egg powder instead of real eggs. The sausage just tasted cheap. Overall, great room and location, but breakfast (especially hot items) need big upgrade.

The hotel was okay and well located. However, the staff lacked professionalism. They were not rude, but failed to attend to even basic guest needs and were very unorganized and chaotic.

Starting with the positives: the hotel is centrally located and the rooms are clean, large and mostly well appointed. The people working in the restaurant and bar are super friendly and helpful, with a special thanks to Aroa in the bar. She’s absolutely lovely! The things we missed: In general, the people working the front desk did not embody customer service. They did not look up from the desk when people entered the hotel - which is not only regretful from a customer service point of view, but is also a safety issue in my opinion. It’s the first time that I’ve experienced this in a hotel. Also, the room did not have a desk or work space - not an issue if you’re just on holiday, but as I wanted to work a bit, it wasn’t the most comfortable. Overall, a pleasant enough stay, but the front desk staff really should be more welcoming and service oriented.
