Dreadfully thought out bedrooms

No mirror near a plug socket so hair drying impossible. Separate toilet with no wash bowl, especially annoying during the night having to come out of toilet and go into shower room to wash hands. Tv impossible to watch from sitting area and one side of bed.

Nice and quiet hotel (although it was full). Very convenient location near the Grassmarket and next to a bus stop for bus 035 and our hop-on hop-off buses. Good food at the restaurant and nice breakfast as well. Very nice view of the castle from our room. It was very convenient that it had many USB slots to charge our devices as we forgot to bring the UK adapter with us - this saved us a few pounds to buy an adapter. Although the room was comfy, It is a bit weird to have the WC separate from the bathroom. At least you should be able to wash your hands in the WC, but no, one had to go had to go to the bathroom for this. Breakfast was nice with variety of choices, but it was the same every day. Not a deal breaker though.

I recently stayed at the Novotel Edinburgh Centre and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are generously sized, providing plenty of space to relax and unwind. One of the highlights of my stay was the excellent wellness facilities, including a well-maintained jacuzzi, swimming pool, and sauna, which added a great touch of luxury and relaxation. The hotel's location is perfect—situated near the iconic Edinburgh Castle and right in the heart of the city. It's within easy walking distance to the vibrant market and other key attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Edinburgh. The only area that could use improvement is the staffing at the reception. Adding a few more staff members would help manage busy times more efficiently. Despite this, the staff were always friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. I highly recommend Novotel Edinburgh Centre for its comfort, amenities, and prime location.

Staff was not that friendly when we arrived and at check in, or at the breakfast. But one girl at check out was and also helped getting a cab to the airport. The room was small for 3 persons, had a strange layout with a very small toilet in one room and the washing zink in another room. Nice with both a shower and a bathtub. Breakfast was ok but not more.
