The hotel is fine for budget, friendly staff but the room had a bad smell on arrival and should have been a warning. Sometime during the night the ceiling in the bathroom started to leak and was very wet by morning. Towels used to mop up, quick shower and out of there …. not a great experience, staff were notified the problem in R 702.

Even though the room itself was ok, it had a very unpleasant odour when entering and then because we had to have the window open, an awful lot of small flies invaded the room.

Wonderful experience at the Ibis Manchester Welcoming and Helpful staff on arrival and throughout my stay Nice clean room with all the Amenities you need, comfortable bed, good clean bathroom with large shower Cosy bar downstairs with nice drinks selections (loved the Vocation) Tasty and Plentiful Buffet Breakfast, everything you could want and more… Thank you all for an excellent stay, I’ll definitely be back

Pre booked the room for a concert in Manchester, everything looked great about the hotel, even paid for early check in so that we could drop bags off earlier, grab a shower then off we go. Then we got to the hotel, around 1030ish and early check in is available from 9am. We attempt to check in and are told that the room is not available, as guests are still in there……I ask about how can they offer check in from 9am, if they have guests in our supposed room? To then be informed that the cleaners are now cleaning a room and would be ready in 20 mins. As you can guess 35 mins later we are still waiting, bear in mind that others checked in whilst we were waiting and were given a room key. After 40 mins he says that a room is ready, we go up and the air con is barely working (it was 32 degrees outside) and blowing luke warm air, despite being on the coldest setting possible. The mattress was wafer thin and that’s being disrespectful to wafer thin items. Shower was good, can’t knock that. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone, head to travelodge up the road or premier inn.
