Well situated, but rooms are a bit worn and many of the facing narrow inner courtyards.

I regret to hear that the condition of the rooms did not meet your expectations. Your observations are valuable as we strive for continual improvement. Rémi Martignago - General Manager

we arrived for a 3 night stay on 27 June - on check in the room were were given (201) ended up being occupied by another guest with their personal items on the bed (fortunately not in the room when I walked in with my key that worked) - another couple that arrived at same time got given room 202 and had the exact same issue. The room we finally got was fine with decent aircon and bathroom but the room shape was long and narrow meaning a narrow gap to get to other side of the bed - staff were all helpful and friendly

We were disappointed with the room it was small and dark limited facilities. Cramped really. Reception staff were friendly welcoming and helpful. The hotel was in a convenient location. I would have preferred a printed guide to hotel facilities and local attractions in the room. My opinion is that the room was overpriced.

Dear Winifred T., Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding your recent stay with us. While I am pleased to hear that our reception staff made a positive impression and that you appreciated our location, I regret that the room did not meet your expectations in terms of size and amenities. Your feedback regarding the availability of informational materials will be noted for consideration. We value your insights and hope to provide a better experience in the future. A good hotel is very important to my wife and I when we travel. We're not just looking for a place to stay but rather a home away from home and a central launch point for everything on our travel itinerary. I had heard good things about this hotel and was not disappointed. I can't overstate how good the location of this property is. We had easy access to everything in the city. Using the Rhone Express from the airport and transferring to the metro takes you to a stop that gets you within a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Getting to La Croix-Rousse or Vieux Lyon or wherever you want to go takes no time at all and you're constantly surrounded by Lyon's charming architecture. Our room was clean and spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during the heat wave that was going on during our stay. I don't recall any issues with noise. There is an elevator which is helpful. It's tight but hey it's available. The staff were all accommodating and helpful. They were an invaluable resource in navigating the city and planning out things to do in the city. One thing other than the staff's manners that I really appreciated was how they engaged with me. I'm trying to get back into speaking French and I know my accent isn't the best and I'm quite rusty. Most employees at restaurants, museums, shops, etc that I went to automatically switch to English when they hear me talk. I get why they do it but I need chances to practice. The staff at this property met me where I was and engaged with me in French. I was able to gain quite a bit of confidence in my speaking skills during my stay so I really appreciated that. Anyways, we're really looking forward to our next stay.

Dear Jed W., Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful experience at Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux Arts. We are delighted to hear that our central location served as an ideal base for your explorations of Lyon and that you appreciated the charm of our surroundings. It is gratifying to know that our accommodations met your expectations, particularly the cleanliness and comfort of your room, as well as the effectiveness of our air conditioning during the heatwave. We are especially pleased to learn that our staff's engagement in helping you practice your French made a positive impact on your visit. We believe in fostering a welcoming atmosphere, and it is heartening to hear that our team contributed to your confidence in speaking the language. Your feedback on their helpfulness and approachability is greatly appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back for another delightful stay in Lyon. Rémi Martignago - General Manager
