The reception desk was professional and quick. The reception desk and bar area was welcoming. The room itself was bright and airy with excellent AC which was needed while we were there. The return time on the laundry was strangely late but was done well. Location was convenient to local transport, the RER to the airport as well as lots of dining, Notre Dame cathedral and Luxembourg Gardens.

While the staff were all nice and accommodating throughout our stay, we experienced several issues with both the booking and the room that significantly affected our experience. During the booking process on the hotel's website, we were shown an estimate of the reward points we would earn from our stay. However, when we received the invoice, we were informed that the room/stay was not eligible for reward points. We found this confusing and disappointing, particularly since we had booked directly through the hotel's website and the booking process had given us the impression that we would earn them. There were also issues when we arrived. We had left our luggage at the hotel beforehand and returned well after the stated 2:00 PM check-in time. When we came back, the receptionist informed us that our room wasn't quite ready and offered to take my spouse and me to see whether it was ready. We went to check the room on the first floor with the receptionist. We were then shown another room on the third floor, but that room had not even been cleaned yet. We were given the choice of taking the first-floor room or waiting an unknown amount of time for the third-floor room. Since we were exhausted after our flight and a long day of travel, we chose to take the first-floor room. Given that we had returned well after the 2:00 PM check-in time, we were surprised that a room was not ready for us. Unfortunately, the room also seemed as though it hadn't been fully prepared for guests. There were long black hairs in multiple places, including on the bed and on the bathroom floor. There was no body wash in the bathroom, and we didn't receive the complimentary bottle of water on our first day. The hairs on the bathroom floor remained there for the entire duration of our stay, and additional hairs appeared from time to time. Finding an occasional stray hair can happen, but the amount we encountered and the fact that some remained throughout our stay was not acceptable. We also later noticed a small stain on the duvet, which was not particularly reassuring. Finally, every day of our stay, at least once, we noticed a sewage-like smell coming into the room and lingering for a while. This happened despite keeping both the door and window closed the entire time. Overall, the staff themselves were friendly and accommodating, but the issues with room readiness, cleanliness, missing amenities, the recurring sewage smell, and the confusion surrounding the reward points made the stay considerably less pleasant than we had expected.

Nice boutique hotel with very helpful staff that managed a change in our booking dates while keeping the packed rate the same. Clean and comfortable rooms We had a ball only and table and chairs overlooking the Sorbonne…..but did have the world’s smallest WC. Breakfasts ok but an avoid peak times.

Nobody offered to take my suitcase to my room when I arrived at the hotel; there were no goose-down pillows; and the minibar in my room was broken. It was replaced with another that didn't work properly. The staff was friendly and helpful, but I really expected more. I am a travel agent, and one reason for the trip was to test the hotel so I could recommend it to my clients. Overall, it was okay-good.

this hotel came through with a safe, affordable, and comfortable stay. The people who work there are lovely! So genuinely nice and helpful. Excellent Nuxe products in the bathroom. One recommendation: the bedding is not lovely; a crisp cotton replacement would go a long way to making this stay even nicer. Also: bonus for having a three person room that wasn't teeny tiny.
