We enjoyed the stay. The location is very good as you know. The reception was helpful and friendly. I would say that the bathroom facilities should be improved to justify a 4* hotel. The furnishings in the rooms are very old (rugs, sofa, tables, etc.). They urgently need to be refurbished or replaced. The bathroom door has swollen at the bottom due to water from the shower and should also be replaced as well. Drinking water is only available in the hallway on each floor. Room rates are too high for this kind of quality in the rooms.

In stark contrast to NOVOTEL GREENWICH that I stayed at the week before which was a dreadful experience - from check in to departures and pretty much all points in between.

We had a lovely welcome, could check in right away. Really comfortable bed, great facilities in the room, iron, ironing board, fridge, hairdryer, water bottle to fill up from machine in the corridor. Staff on desk were extremely friendly , helpful and welcoming every time we saw them. Breakfast had a great choice and was very good. Great location for us too. Felt very safe walking to and from the hotel.

I left this review on Google : What a fabulous hotel and an absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish. There were so many thoughtful little surprises — a lovely box of cookies on arrival, a room upgrade, and even the option of an extended checkout. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone genuinely seemed to go above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. Even the lovely team at the café were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, the beds are really comfortable, and the rooms are clean, well appointed and have everything you need. It’s those little touches, combined with genuinely fantastic service, that make a hotel memorable. Would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Poor experience for this stay for the following reasons: * very strong unpleasant smell in the room (414) which was not going away even with windows open full day * erratic cleaning (table on which I had some dinners was not cleaned from one day to the other and the table and chairs were left in the middle of the room) * upon my arrival, the reception has no clue if I'm a new customer or if I have been there already 6 times... and keep asking if this is my first time at this hotel * water bottle in the room to be filled not cleaned...

I had a really great stay at the Mercure Hotel! Everything was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. The staff were lovely and the whole atmosphere was very pleasant. I was especially happy with the bed and the pillows — honestly, some of the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever slept on! And the breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options. I left feeling really well rested and very satisfied with my stay. I would definitely come back!
