Hotel is conveniently located, just outside the CBD, but with bus and train connections nearby. Access to city and Newtown is easy. Reception were helpful, friendly and polite. Room was clean, bed large and very comfortable. Breakfast was basic, but adequate to start the day. Is a budget hotel, but perfectly suited for my needs.

Have stayed at this hotel on multiple occassions. This time for more than $200 for one night! Was not a good experience. Staff were fine. Room was located down in the "basement" . Once you got down the filthy stairwell the room was just as disappointing. The dirty window had a view over the exhaust pipof a car in the carpark. Nothing else. The room was tired and knocked around and the shower needed a good clean.

The room was clean, but I was allocated a room on the first floor, where constant noise from the reception door slamming, people shouting, and guests using—and punching—the vending machine kept me awake. I felt unsafe and even considered moving to another hotel during the night. I also couldn’t have breakfast because the area had been left in such a mess by other guests, with no hotel staff around to tidy up (the person at the reception didn’t seem to bother). I would definitely pay a little more to stay elsewhere. I won’t be returning to this hotel. This stay was very different from my previous experiences with ibis.

Paid parking is available it turns out that this is just the free parking which surrounds the hotel. There are no parking limit signs or even parking signs of ANY SORT. Clearly there is no control over this parking, so why are we being charged? This is a nonsense. When I enquired with the fellow at reception, he told me that “council” controls the parking. With no signage? I think not! There was a large gap around the window when it was closed, allowing air and road noise to enter.

As a gold status member, non of the loyalty benefits were present. no early check in, no late check out, the reception on the night shift didn't even bother to check and just said we're fully booked the next day so can't do late check out (he said "probably", so weren't even sure himself) There also wasn't any welcoming drink when I asked him.
