We always stay at the Novotel at Poitiers Futuroscope when driving to and from Portugal. Normally we are extremely satisfied with our experience at the hotel but this time it was awful. We were designated a basement room which was dark and dingy with very stained carpets, the heating didn’t work and was extremely cold. The room was claustrophobic because of the lack of light and low ceilings. The bed was small and uncomfortable. I think the price of €118 with no facilities open because of Covid is outrageous for the quality and service we received.

The reception area is too busy - they should just remove the furniture that we are not allowed to sit on. The staff was not avaiable, and those who were gave incomplete info and had little patience. The room was clean when we arrived for a two night stay. I was asked if I would like my room serviced and I said yes, I am staying at a hotel because I don't want to have to make my bed on vacation. Of course after long day and ight at Futuroscope we came back to the room exactly the way we left it! Also the breakfast was not well organised... often we had to wait for plates to arrive and for serving utensils (little bamboo spoons and pinces) Cocktails at the bar were warm and not very well put together. I was given a reduction when checking out which I appreciate but it would have been nice to have a better client experience.

We took the superior room as we were travelling with a 3 month old kid (and all the accessories...). The window was not well soundproof and we were located on top of the restaurant terrasse. So a lot of noise in our room until the restaurant closed. The receptionist (very nice) proposed us to change, but, with a very small kid already asleep, it was not possible for us to accept due to a complicate logistic. Also there was no water, tea or coffee available in the room. And only one set of towels... I can understand restrictions due to COVID, but it seems our room was not prepared properly. We especially choose Novotel and superior room due to our travel with our 3 month old daughter, but, at the end, for the price, we were frustrated. Beside that, hotel, pool and restaurant are nice, pleasant and properly maintained.

I stayed in the last 3 months 4 times in your Hotel ! Twice in a room where in the douche were brown staines. that is mold. Not nice to douche in......... I have twice told it the reception and showed the second time the pictures. If you want I can send them. (room 228) My last stay was exceptionally expensive as normal .....

Every year we come to a Novotel hotel for our summer vacation for the transit overnight stay. Usually when we go to and get back from the vacation destination. Never had any complaints. Now it was disappointing at hotel Novotel Poitiers Site du Futuroscope. I don't know what the room number was anymore. We had already booked this hotel in January, especially for the pool. The pool was closed on arrival. Now in Corona time I had expected that a bit. But you do pay extra for a swimming pool. Otherwise we could have stayed in an In Ibis Hotel for 50 euros. Our room was not ready yet and we were given another room. Fine. Too bad that the sofa bed was not ready and we had to do this ourselves and that there were no complementary water bottles that were advertised on the sticker on the fridge in the room and the toilet stuff was 1 set for 4 people. Now I don't need 4 but 2 for each child a set would have been nice. I didn't ask for it either because I don't think it's important, but it does count in the assessment. Also a towel short. Asked at the reception for an extra towel and when we came back from our trip we could pick up the towel. But the other person behind the counter reacted as if she saw water burning when we went to pick up the towel on our return. And with a strange face, the towel was taken from the pantry. Breakfast the next morning was fine. But the emergency door was barricaded by a table with chairs. Small things like that make the stay less comfortable and that is the first time we have this. We always look forward to these overnight stays but I don't know if we will have Novotel (Accor) as first choice again for next year. Especially in this weird time with an almost empty hotel, we expected more service and attention for the customers and a compensation for the closed pool. Perhaps a free breakfast or something similar. Too bad Novotel. This time not a nice review and perhaps no more. Greetings, family L.. Member Number 308103 1 … 8

40 minute wait for table in restaurant, if we knew it wouldbe that long we would have gone elsewhere, not enough staff, food & drink took ages, unhelpful reception staff, stupid designed rooms where you can’t see the television from the bed, bathrooms flood when you shower as no shower screen and the floor slops away from the shower. Will not be staying there again..

The anti-Covid arrangements in the public rooms were sensible and the rooms themselves were clean. They were not entirely as booked. One of rooms had a double bed and a couch whereas I had asked for three single beds.

Stayed overnight has a stopover... Communal areas where well equipped with sanitizers, wipes and signed to remind people of social distancing... Bedroom looks very clean but not as reassuring as the communal areas once we realized that toilet rolls was 2/3 used and no replacements... It raised concerns as how well was it sanitized after the previous guest... Everything else was ok.

Covid-19 Protocols and sanitizing measures were very good... Felt more reassured than before I arrived... However, as for the room I wasn't reassured that the room was as covid-19 secured as the commune areas of the hotel... For example the toilet roll in my rooms was 2/3 used and there wasn't a replacement.

As always, a good stay, but with minor disadvantages. No (plastic) cups in the room or bathroom, that should not be covid19 related. Swimming pool was being redone, one would expect that to be done in lockdown period, but I understand the lockdown was for workers too. For the rest a good stay with perfect breakfast again.
