The staff were kind, welcoming and really looked after the hotel, reception and breakfast area. They were always available to help and assisted at times on instinct. Brilliant to have drinking water available. Breakfast very good, though did not know about the waffle maker until the last morning. The beds were uncomfortable as they were sunken. The air con was so noisy, but needed. The shower water flooded out of the tray.

The location was excellent with lots of good restaurants nearby and close to public transport. The room was tiny and the pillows were very uncomfortable - they need replacing.

When I checked in, I was given a room that had not been checked out of. I walked into my room with my child and there were clothes and underwear all over the place. It wasn't a great experience

We like where it was, good tram to city centre. the only downer was in all hotel we have stayed in this wasthe only hotel that did not have ice. We had to go to REWE to buy some for drink and with the weather in the late 30s. The staff was not very friendly. We have been come to this hotel since 2003 2 or 3 a year. We was here as we was going see Helene Fischer live

The hotel is ideally situated to explore the city, being only a fifteen minute walk to the cathedral, but has u-bahn stations nearby, making travelling easy. The staff were excellent and I could not fault them.

Hotel is extremely basic. Do yourself a favour and don't stay here. I don't know how it has 3 stars. Even for a 'budget' style hotel I don't think its worth the money. Rooms are very compact, stuffy, and painted an awful dark grey. A Swedish prison cell would be better. There is no shampoo in the shower - you must request it from reception. No room safe, no fridge or mini-bar. No kettle or water. Very few amenities overall. A bed, towels, a TV and that's it. The toilet & shower room is so small you can touch the sides without raising your arms - think airplane toilet. Air-conditioning was very poor. It was 35C outside and I struggled to sleep. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows felt very old and lumpy. Location is ok. City centre is walkable (20-30 mins approx) but I wouldn't call it 'central'. There are good public transport options nearby, but also its on a busy traffic street so if you get a room at the front then expect it to be very loud. The sound insultation is awful. I could hear people snoring, coughing or speaking during the night in the other rooms. There was mould in the bathroom. Overall, I would not stay here again. I've had better rooms in hostels. I was so happy to leave.

Good location and very friendly staff. Despite being located next to a busy road and metro tracks, limited noise from the outside. However the acoustic insulation between rooms and between the rooms and the hallway was very poor (or none). The beds and pillows were quite uncomfortable, it would be good to renew them.

The location was further removed from the city center than we expected. A member of the staff was very rude when we tried to get a drink. But the room was good, and we slept very well, so no complaints there.
