We requested a room on a higher floor when booking, but this was ignored — we were placed on a basement level. When we asked to be moved, the staff refused. Breakfast for €19 was very disappointing: the food was not fresh, the coffee machine was not working, and no alternative was offered. During our two-day stay, the room was not cleaned even once. The room was very cold, and the air conditioning is controlled centrally from reception. No one answered when we called, and when we went to reception in person, we were told they could only increase the temperature by 2 degrees — but nothing changed. As a result, we caught a cold and felt unwell. I do not recommend this hotel or its restaurant.

Regarding your room location, your reservation was made only the day before your arrival. As you arrived after 6:00 PM during a high-occupancy period with several groups already checked in, all rooms on the upper floors had already been allocated. We always do our best to satisfy floor preferences, but these remain subject to availability, especially for last-minute bookings. Concerning the breakfast, we are surprised by your comment. We take great pride in serving fresh and local products from Normandy. While a technical issue can occasionally affect a coffee machine, our team is always available to find a solution or guide you to nearby options in La Caserne. Regarding the room temperature, our system was set to 26°C during your stay to ensure comfort. As for the cleaning service, we encourage our guests to inform the reception immediately of any oversight so we can rectify it instantly. We regret that you did not enjoy your experience, but we remain committed to the quality of service that our guests usually appreciate at Mont Saint-Michel. Best regards, Aurore

Chose the hotel due to location to the Mont and the shuttle available. As others noted, there is no elevator . We were in the second building upstairs, and I had a larger luggage to carry up stairs. Also, the lights were creepy at night like they were motion sensor in the hallway but looked deserted. Comfortable beds and clean. No issues with room. Breakfast was amazing buffet and lots of options. Food was great!

To clarify for our future guests, our buildings in Normandy consist of a ground floor and only one upper floor. While we do not have elevators, our team is always available and happy to assist with luggage upon request at the reception. Regarding the hallway lighting, we use motion sensors as part of our eco-friendly commitment to save energy.
