The hotel is conveniently located in walking distance of the Mont Saint-Michel. It's a bit pricey but worth it for a couple of days.

Great stay at Mercure Mont Saint Michel. Room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. Location was ideal (right next to the shuttle bus to the abbey, otherwise at about 25min walking distance). Breakfast was also very good.

We did not know that we were supposed to come in the main entrance, and did not find any correspondence telling us to do so- this would have been very helpful. Halls were dark during the daytime.

Pluses: Location is very good and staff very friendly and helpful. Idea of the amenity, in the way rooms are arranged is very neat and ergonomic (including breakfast place, which we loved)! Also, cleanliness of the room was great. Overall, great value for the price, from my point of view. The only minus that "spoiled" our stay was a very strange smell (coming from heater filters most likely). In the end it was "livable" with (with open windows) and we decided not to change rooms but I must take down the experience rate for it.

The location is fine for visiting MSM island, either by walking or by catching the frequent and free shuttle buses. Seniors should know there is no lift and that the main stairway's handrails will cause your fingers to be pinched because there's not enough wall clearance. Also, getting out of the bathtub is a bit of a hazard because of a lack of handrails. But the place was clean and the folks friendly.
