The service at the hotel restaurant was poor. We were the first to arrive, had a drink at the bar next door, then went to the restaurant and ordered a meal, but while everyone around us who arrived later had already had their meal, we were not served any food and were only offered drinks. It took an hour after we entered the restaurant for our food to finally arrive. Even though this is a Mercure.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your room and our central reservation service, but I was deeply concerned and saddened to read about your experience at our restaurant. First, please accept my sincerest apologies for the long wait you endured. That evening, our restaurant was exceptionally busy and fully booked, which unfortunately led to a lack of organization and a level of service that was not up to our usual standards. Regarding your feeling about the welcome you received: please be assured that we hold all our guests in the highest regard, regardless of their origin. We are a multicultural team and we take great pride in welcoming travelers from all over the world, especially from Japan. What you perceived as a lack of respect was likely the result of our staff being overwhelmed and fatigued by the high volume of service that night. However, I have personally met with the team to remind them that even under pressure, every guest must feel welcomed and respected. Your pride in your heritage is something we respect, and we are truly sorry that your experience in our region left you with such a negative impression. Ask the hotel for the entry key to get through the specific gate leading straight to the horel. Not the gates on the other parking lots.

I'm happy that I booked this hotel because it offered all comfort. The shuttle bus to Mont Saint Michel was in front of the hotel, so it was better than to stay in any hotel in Mont Saint Michel.
