We've implemented noise monitoring and dust reduction to minimise guest disruption. Construction hours: weekdays 7am-7pm Saturdays 7am-3:30pm No work Sundays or public holidays. I paid a lot for the room I was having late check out my husband had been unwell that's why I paid a lot however a cleaner started on the room next door at 630 in morning woke us up was very loud I spoke to front desk he said hes had complaints before very disappointing we ended up leaving early

Accessible to public transportation, walking distance to the bridge to the other side of wharfs and city center. Check-in and -out desk is fitted with hospital staff. Concierge is also very nice.

The ameneties are rather mediocre (non-heated pool which wasnt as clean, small gym)
Rooms were spacious compared to your average boutique, budget hotel.
Service was rather slow when we requested for soap which wasn't refilled or room slippers which they dont provide without request. They dont provide refillable water bottles for us to get water.
The bathroom vanity kit and shower caps would not be replaced after room service sometimes without request.
Had an issue with the air-conditioning and had to shift room 2 times. Was informed by the technician that the air-condioning/heating system is old. No help was given to shift our bags when we had to shift rooms at 10pm the first night we were there.
We were given a room with a better view as compensation and the view of Darling Harbour was stunning but that was the only redeeming quality for this hotel.

I stayed while attending a conference at the ICC. Overall the stay was easy, comfortable and the hotel easily accessible. The Ternary, reception and concierge staff were efficient and accommodating.
The only potential issue was that I would not have been able to enter the doors on arrival after a flight delay (it was around or just after 10:30pm). Thankfully I met others staying at the hotel who were also attending the conference so they brought me in the front door with them.

I have been an Accor member for many years and a very loyal customer of your hotels throughout ANZ and internationally. I have stayed in this hotel several times but on this occasion the service was extremely disappointing. I booked into the Hotel for a conference at ICC and booked personally using a link on the Conference website. At no point did it indicate on the Hotel website that this conference coincided with the Sydney Marathon. When I checked in I was grateful that a room was ready but no staff advised me that I would have difficulty checking out on the Sunday morning and great difficulty obtaining transport to the airport for an early morning international flight. When I went to organise transport on the Saturday afternoon for 5.30am on Sunday I was told it would be impossible to get transport as all roads were closed. I was given a map and told the best option would be to walk to the train....A female at 5am with 2 suitcases!! Reception staff had no idea and shrugged their shoulders. I eventually spoke with the Manager and was told that everyone at the hotel was there for the Marathon...Wrong! I was advised that because I had booked on a corporate rate they couldn't help me. I had no option but to leave the hotel and find alternative accommodation for the night or miss my flight...I had to organise this and pay for an additional night of accommodation at great cost in another Accor Hotel by the Airport...I was told that I could not use my free night that I had on my Accor account. The best Novotel Darling Harbour could do was not charge me for the glass of coke I ordered with dinner....all in all a very unsatisfactory experience after many years of really enjoying my stays at the Novotel.

I understand your frustration regarding the transport difficulties you encountered on Sunday morning and that you did not feel adequately supported when you raised your concerns with our team. I am sorry that the options provided to you did not give you the assistance you were looking for.
While major events and road closures are outside of the hotels control, I recognise that once you made our team aware of your early flight and the challenges, we could have handled the situation with better care and explored what practical options may have been available to assist you.
Your feedback has been shared with our management team, particularly around how we communicate with and assist guests when significant transport disruptions take place in Sydney. I do value your loyalty and I am disappointed that we did not deliver the level of service you have come to expect from Novotel Darling Harbour.
