Disappointing service

Hotel well-located near motorway so used by many travellers for an overnight stay. Rooms are decent size and comfortable except for the new bedding which is hot and unpleasant due to a plastic style mattress protector which makes a crackling noise every time you move ! We enjoyed the food at dinner but the service was not at all professional in the bar or restaurant. Too many young members of staff wandering around and not sure of what they're doing. Our waiter changed 2 or 3 times during the meal and nobody came to ask us if we wanted dessert. For a 4 star hotel there needs to be better organisation and training particularly with the high season approaching.
