good place to overnight when travelling south

Check in was fine. If the check-in person spoke any quicker she'd have needed subtitles - but I got the drift. She seemed in a real hurry. There was no hurry in the bar where it took ages to be served and, without much grace. Similarly in the restaurant. There was no attempt to engage in anything other than perfunctory conversation. This is very different when I stay in the Hotel Mercure 1km away
