We stayed three nights whilst viewing houses to buy near Cognac. The location of the hotel is excellent - as was the breakfast and the very friendly & helpful staff. The facilities in the room were good - a bit tired. But the shower didn’t drain/overflowed. And when I asked for a glass of white wine one evening at the bar, I was told that ‘they didn’t have any’!!(come on guys, this is France!!)

Easy to find, and parking was easy, there’s a special rate for the hotel, otherwise it’s very expensive, clean and comfortable with a nice breakfast
