Spacious room with large comfortable bed. Very good shower with separate toilet. We walked 200 metres to a restaurant and parking was across the road from the hotel reception and free. In these COVID times the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout.

well located in Cognac center; public parking available in front of the hotel. great service level. I arrived late but was well received with a smile. I forgot my mask in the car, but I was offered one when entering the hotel. a pleasure to stay in Accor hotels

We arrived at 5:00pm and were told our room was not ready because of Covid. We went and had a coffee in the town as nothing was offered at the hotel. On our return we went to our room to find the beds had been made, however the much advertised Ibis Covid Clean seemed to have been forgotten. Areas which would have been touched by previous occupants (eg toilet roll holder, hair dryer) had abviously not been cleaned at all, they still had dust on them. The curtains also were marked and dirty and the shower head holder was broken. Breakfast on day one was nowhere near the standard expected. The croissants were small and appeared to have come from a budget price multi pack, I tried one piece of the pre- sliced seeded baguette which was tasteless the only spoon provided to eat cereals with was a teaspoon and the advertised fresh eggs were nowhere to be seen. I looked for the manager but having stood around the deserted reception for more than 5 minutes gave up. When we returned later in the afternoon, around 4:45pm we were surprised to find our room had not been serviced !! I went back to the still deserted reception, tried knocking on the counter and still no-one appeared. We gave in and made the beds ourselves Breakfast on day two was no better. A gentleman who we presumed to be a manager, but who obviously did not understand the rules on social distancing, asked for our room number and then disappeared never to be seen again. Still no eggs, still only a teaspoon for the cereals, and the sliced seeded baguette was now tasteless and hard. We regularly stay in Ibis hotels so I know this one is not up to standard. The whole hotel is shabby and needs more than refreshing and maybe a little training for the staff to remind them who pays their salaries. Ibis Cognac claims to have 3 stars, in truth it would struggle to earn 2 on this showing. We understand the effect Covid has on everyone, but cannot be the excuse for this performance.

I am a regular user of Accor group of hotels and always my 1st preference is to stay with Accor hotels whenever i travel. During my trip to Cognac i had booked the accommodation for 2 nights and once i reached the hotel, they told me that my booking has been cancelled by the system and i was not informed about it at all, neither by phone or by email. on 13th night the hotel was fully booked and they had only 1 room left, which i had to rebook because it was late in the night and i had no options. The room given to me was very noisy because of some kind of ventilation passing through the roof of that room and all night it made noise and i could not sleep at all. I have recorded the noise (just incase you need to hear). My work suffered the next day and i am very very disappointed with such a bad experience by Accor group. I would like to ask, if my booking was cancelled by the system, why i was not informed? Why did i get the worst possible room in the hotel, even though i had booked the accommodation 2 weeks in advance? Is this the way your Silver and Gold members are treated? What is the point of being loyal customer of Accor Hotels if such an experience is provided? What can you do to make things better? Look forward to hear back. Best, Dhirendra C.

The hotel is horrible, the room are old and with a terrible grey color on the wall. I mean we are talking about ibis hotel, not even an hostel is so Neglected and tremendously without personality. Moreover i had a welcome drink and they offer me just a really small bottle of water. The receptionist was not even talking english. Terribile experience. Nevver more.

Staff very helpful, room comfortable, good breakfast however the bathroom could do with a bit of a paint and a few stains on the carpet. This would not stop us staying here again.

The hotel was very welcoming and we were provided with a room with easy access. Restaurants were recommended to us. We couldn't find the one we wanted, and ended up in a very expensive one. Not worth the price. Wines at Eu 760, and they wouldn't serve it by the glass.

Staying at the Ibis Cognac was a great choice for us. The Ibis was easy to find, centrally located, parking across the road was extremely convenient and free, breakfast was very good and the Staffa were extremely friendly and helpful.

On arrival there were no staff available. I believe that it might have been a staff changeover period. We were allocated a room, but when we got to the room it was not yet made up and we had to return to reception to be allocated a different room. Once we had a room all was OK.

Shower head tended to droop downward and an extra hand towel would have been useful. Cleanliness was fine, and air conditioning in the room was good. A large bed appeared to have two single toppers on, which separated leaving a gap in the middle of the bed which had to be continually adjusted. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were good. More clothes hangers would have been useful.
