The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked through the doors. I had arrived on the night train, around eight hours before the usual check-in time, so I was expecting a wait or to come back later with my bags. I speak a little German and am trying to improve whenever I can, so I really appreciated the fact that the staff patiently waited while I tried to explain my situation. They were kind and understanding, and immediately reassured me that leaving my bags with them would not be a problem. They suggested that I come back after 3 pm, which was absolutely fine. Given the hot weather and the fact that I am disabled, the kindness and understanding of the staff meant a great deal to me. I felt listened to, respected and, importantly, trusted to manage things in my own way. Those small moments of patience and consideration can make a huge difference. And the thoughtful service continued right through to check-out. On the day I was leaving, I needed to make an important phone call back to the UK. Before I picked up my bags, the staff not only found me a quiet corner where I could make the call, but when I ordered a drink, they brought it over along with some little nibbles. It was such a simple gesture, but it really stood out to me. It's these little touches that make the whole experience enjoyable. Good service isn't always about doing something grand; sometimes it's simply noticing what a guest needs and making them feel comfortable and looked after. Thank you to the whole team for such a warm welcome and for making my stay in Augsburg so easy, comfortable and enjoyable. Excellent service!

The overall experience vas globally good. As a professional working in HTG industry, I maybe have a more critical view because I see many restaurants and hotels from behind the scenes for work. I was satisfied by this stay, the check in was quick and everything was like you would expect it in an Ibis. The location of the hotel is great to get by foot to the city centre and it’s very convenient to use the garage. The only tiny downside, was during check in, the receptionist told me a bit « bluntly » that I didn’t enter te correct amount of people for the room during the reservation. When I asked him if he was sure if there is a number of people to enter, he replied that of course he is right as he worked at Accor. That left me a bit puzzled if I have to be honest.

The room was quite large with an extra door to a lobby, which made the room fairly quiet, with a good en-suite shower room. The only thing I missed, was a little fridge. The location was excellent with the free tram system to reach the centre of the town. It’s the 5th time that I'm staying here, so it must mean something.

I made my reservation a few months in advance, and had a good rate of about 85 EUR. Most importantly, I was satisfied with cleanliness. Friendly staff is nice, but cleanliness is an abolute must. Good job. I didn't interact a lot with staff, but they seemed friendly. I did not ask anyone about it, and it was not a significant issue, but I did not understand the temperature control for the room - either that or it wasn't working. I was staying for a meeting at the congress center. I would recommend the hotel for that or for tourism.
