37 mosquitoes in the bathroom and the room!

I stayed at Ibis Brugge Centrum from 11/11 to 14/11 in room 454. I checked in at around 1530, and the reception was unsure which rooms were available. After they finished checking the rooms, they gave me the key to room 454. I entered the room and found more than 30 (thirty) LIVE MOSQUITOES on the bathroom walls and ceiling, along with more mosquitoes on the room desk. I come from the tropical world and am familiar with mosquitoes, yet this is ridiculous compared to what I expect from a hotel chain with quality like yours! The more ridiculous part was that when I went to the reception, asking if I could get another room, I received this reply: "There's nothing we can do with the mosquitoes. It's the same in every room. The best I can offer you is another heating device for the mosquito pesticide." I was stunned. I went back to my room and spent half an hour killing those 37 mosquitoes one by one. As a frequent traveller, this is one of the most ridiculous experiences I've ever had; needless to say, I'm booking with ibis in order to avoid unwanted surprises! The way your receptionists have handled this issue and the standard for sanitary deeply impressed me, definitely not in the good direction. I'm deeply baffled by this experience and will urge everyone I know NOT to book at this hotel.

In a great location close to the station and the centre of Bruges. Rooms need to be refurbished and updated, better showers and more sockets, even a couple of usb points would help. All the facilities are across the courtyard in the Novotel so it feels like you’re in an annexe but overall suited our needs for a short stay but other hotels offer better facilities at similar price levels. Complimentary drink as part of the Accor membership was good chance to use the Novotel bar, but a little confusing over what you were allowed to have, not much difference between a small or big beer in price.. but the bar staff were excellent and made us feel really welcome.

The Hotel is situated very near the centre of Brugge, the Ibis would appear to be getting ready for a refurbishment which the Novotel opposite has/is currently undergoing. All of the transactions room keys breakfast etc were in the Novotel. My room was functional and clean. I have stayed with Ibis before so I know what to expect.

Very well located, good breakfast as usual in Ibis, good bedding but the rooms need to be restaured. Mold on the wall in bathroom, old paint on the wall, the hotel seems old.
