Very good location for the La Beaujoire Stadium, staff at the hotel are wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was good, except the scrambled eggs were cold. Dinner was delicious. Room was outdated and needs refurbishing.

We Were made very Welcome by every member of staff. The meals we had both evenings were delicious and there was plenty of choice for breakfast and gluten free bread and madeleines for a Coeliac which Was wonderful. The only down side was a really bad smell. It was a little noticeable on our arrival but overnight the pong in the bathroom became truly terrible. We mentioned this (in my best attempt at French which appeared to be understood) to the chambermaids on our way to breakfast. We also mentioned it to one of the reception staff. When we returned later That night after the bronze medal football match it was barely noticeable. Once again though it increased overnight and was a bit stronger by Friday morning. There appears to be a bit of an issue in the drain of either the shower or washbasin in room 224 that needs to be properly addressed rather than trying to disguise it with cleaning agents.
