Not just one thing - but a long list of things - otherwise I would not take the time to share my experience. Would not go back there again. First room offered: someone had slept in that bed before. Asked for a different room. Second room: only the first light responded. Room dark, couldn't manage to switch on the other lights. Technician came, plugged the plugs (how might I find them myself in the dark?). Pressed silly tiny switches on a bed lamp - silly design. Okay - so far so good. Next morning I see how my socks look like: A huge collection of dust bunnies tightly weaved into them. That gave the message on the desk a fully new meaning: They are into saving the environment, it said, they only clean the room if one asks for it at the reception. Seemed it wasn't asked for for a couple of weeks? I asked at the reception on the morning of day 2 to have my room cleaned. When I came back in the evening nothing had happened to my room: The bed was as I left it in the morning, same for the bath, same for the whole room. I just can't believe it. Last but not least: it was a hot day (30 degrees), the room was hot, the air conditioner hummed - but didn't cool. Didn't sleep well. Next day it was cool outside (below 20 degrees over night) - but even with open window the room was hot.

I stayed at the hotel for four nights and five days, and unfortunately my room was not cleaned once during my entire stay. It was only at check-out that I was told housekeeping had to be requested. I found this quite surprising for a 4-star hotel, especially as I regularly stay at Mercure hotels in France and have never experienced this before. When I arrived, the bed was not even made: the bedding was folded on top of the bed and I had to make it myself. I was also disappointed that there was no iron or ironing board in the room. Normally, this is something I often find in Mercure hotels. Here, I had to take my clothes downstairs, walk through the hotel lobby carrying my personal clothes, and use a small laundry room to iron them. Overall, my experience was quite mixed and below what I would expect from a 4-star Mercure hotel.

We arrived late in the evening only to discover the room had no air conditioning. the temperature inside was 31.5°C when we walked in — completely unbearable for sleeping. The next morning, it was still 29 with window open all night. when I raised the issue at the front desk, I was told that since I’d checked in at 10pm, it “wasn’t their problem.” and must have looked for another hotel. This kind of response is simply unacceptable from a Mercure property. Basic comfort and accountability should not be optional, especially after a long day of travel and treating such a way customer.

Upon booking, the room I reserved was clearly marked with air conditioning across platforms: ALL website and Agoda. However, once I checked in, there's no air conditioning in the room even though I found a termostat which suggested once the ac was operated in that room since the scale of temperature ranges from 0 C - 30 C. This is unacceptable since what the hotel advertised was different from what it actually provided. It is noteworthy that this was early August where across Europe the scorching heat can be felt. The hotel did not take responsibity on this matter, simply just to provide some additional drinking water and a word sorry. As a leading hotel chain, I did not expect the hotel took this lightly as this was about misrepresenting the room facilities. It is the consumer's right to get compensated of some sort, not just a few more bottles of water and a word of sorry. I noticed that after this incident the hotel removed ac from its website but the damage has happened. My body already suffered from this unbearable heat. I wish the hotel would consider compensating the guests in a more substantial way since this is about health issue.

The kettle was completely broken. Its entire contents poured out from the base and wet the desk, chair, and floor, as well as my shoes and laptop bag. I called reception, but they said there were no more kettles available. While they offered to bring me hot water if needed, they failed to address the water damage or the potential hazard to the nearby electrical sockets. Aside from that, the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Rooms were clean and tidy and we got 2 spacious rooms. However very uncomfortable during a heatwave which I know hotel does not have much control over. We were kindly provided with fans which didn't have much effect as they circulates warm air. Parking in the hotels underground carpark was €20 per night so we opted to park on the street. Staff were friendly, particularly the housekeeper who was really lovely. You need to advise the charge for parking as potentially we were facing additional €200 euro for our stay.

The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area, close to public transport. As for the rooms, they are good, but they don’t have air conditioning, so you need to ask for fans. The rooms weren’t cleaned, and the beds weren’t made. As for breakfast, it’s good, but there could be a wider variety of fruit, in particular.

The room was very hot with no air conditioning. A fan was provided but it was not enough. Worse, the blinds om the window were fixed in the down position so they couldn't even be lifted to allow for ventilation. Checking out in the morning was a disaster with no one available at reception. I had to go behind the desk myself to obtain a parking exit ticket. A very disappointing stay.

I Returned to Mercure, 3 years after my last stay and I was looking forward to my stay. Previously it had felt like a hotel where staff actually bothered...hence my return. This time however, from beginning to the end the start to the end this was certainly not the case. A perfect example of this occurred on my last day of my stay, when domestic staff twice entered my room to clean it. The first time was just after 8am and as I went for breakfast, I had made comment at reception. Then the second, by a different member of staff, tried to enter my room about an hour later.
