Simple but friendly hotel. Decent rooms even if the shower was broken. Friendly staff. Restaurant not great but open on Sundays. Not the easiest place to find.

An excellent resting place

We were greeted warmly and staff members were very helpful. The restaurant food was delicious and the service equally impressive. Although the bedrooms are not large, they have all you need and our walk-in shower was large. We took the last parking space due to the hotel being very busy so I recommend you arrive before 20.00. If you have mobility issues, ask for a room on the ground floor as the hotel does not have a lift. It is a well-run establishment and I would throughly recommend it for a one night stop-over.

I arrived very late but this was no problem for the staff who made me feel very welcome. The hotel is getting a little dated but was very comfortable nonetheless. The breakfast was very good and ideal to start a long day. I had a major problem with my vehicle and the receptionist was extremely helpful - without her help I would have had a major problem and I can't thank her enough!

Renovations were taking place so to get to our room we had to get past painters etc. Our room was unlocked as the door was being painted. We think we should have been warned when we booked of the situation.

I had a voucher for a drink as part of my ibis business card but I was told it was only for no alcool, which is not my experience in other Ibis I went to. I had booked the dinner in a package and the choice was extremely limited and the food not at the desired quality. I ordered some wine which was very poor quality and at the end very expensive.

I had a warm & friendly greeting on arrival at the hotel reception and they had been able to give me the room that I had stayed in in December which was close to the reception and great for staying in with my 2 small dogs. I had a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Dinner and breakfast were good. All the staff that I came into contact with were friendly and helpfull I plan to stay here again.
