Very nice hotel with nice and friendly staff. The rooms are very nice and also clean. The room service if you stay in this hotel for a week should be done at least once every three days. Very positive that the staff in this hotel speaks English. And this is definitely not common in france. I will definitely come back.

I didnt realize when I entered into the room how strong there was a particular odor. During the night I figure out that is came from the bathroom. I close the bathroom door but it didnt help much. Earlier I told the réception the sanitory was linking. I noticed these problems during check out but I didnt get any commercial proposal. I m a silver customer, travel pretty much. I ve been disapointed by this Mercure regarding the rates.

We always stay at Mercure Vienne Sud Chanas on our way from Belgium to Spain because it’s the perfect location (halfway and just next to the highway). The staff is friendly, the parking is safe and the restaurant is good. There is an early breakfast and you certainly get good value for your money. The rooms are clean and quiet. It’s obvious we’re pleased with this hotel, otherwise we wouldn’t return!

Had to change room owing to a problem with the wash basin plug not allowing water to drain off. Unfortunately the room was standard and not privilege as booked.Virginie on reception was very helpful and professional in dealing with the problem. V

Overnight stop

We booked the hotel as a night stop on our way to the South of France. Check in was fine. When we came down for a pre-dinner drink we found the receptionist covering front desk, the bar and the restaurant, obviously this caused delays in all aspects. The dinner service was slow and was further delayed by the arrival of a basketball team. On service my wife's dinner was cold and we were unable to attract the attention of any staff until is was just all too late.

Having previously stayed in 4* hotel for 4 nights in Paris I was surprised how basic this hotel was in comparison. I will also mention that the escape stairs were filthy and materials were stored on the stairs, gladly no emergencies!
