Very convenient

Booked at short notice, pleasant and helpful receptionist, small but adequate room, Arles centre needs car, no restaurant, or restaurant closed that night, fairly well protected from rather dingy part of town. Secure parking. Met our needs

Bring your own towels

RyanAlkmaar Couples - 14/09/2021 TripAdvisor review

At arrival we found out that almost no one speaks proper English at this hotel so if you have complaints beware... In our room we had only 2 towels so we asked for extra towels for using the pool but at the all we got was a "No!". After drying off at the pool you have to use your towel and for showering afterwards you have to use the same towel and if you want to shower the next morning you still have to use this same towel... Breakfast is chaotic and this hotel has never heard of "Routing" and other hospitality stuff... When you enter the breakfast room you will find clean trays (With 2 little bags of sugar. God knows why...) in the "thing"that every other hotel uses to collect the dirty trays with the dishes after breakfast... Only few hotelpeople know where someone put the Earl Grey tea, ), you have to walk crisscross along the buffet because there is no logic of what is where. After picking up the tray you pick up a plate somewhere, you walk to the end of the buffet for some bread, on the other end of the buffet there is ham and cheese, in the middle there is juice and everybody is lost because there is no logic in what to be found where at this buffet... For example: The butter is not next to the bread You have to search for the butter. It's put in a liitle black box next to cheese and ham... (No! I was not the only one who could not find it...) At the reception desk thetre is almost no one that speaks proper English. In the weekend we found out that a weekend help, a student, could speak English and he was the first person who we could tell about our complaints. Tea, towels, breakfast and only Frnch-speaking staff at a tourist hotel in a very touristic region... After 5 nights at check-out we first heard that it was not standard at Ibis Hotels to receive 2 towels per person per night... (I have stayed at a many Ibis hotels and I can tell you that 2 towels per person per night IS standard and not only at Ibis Hotels but at most self-respecting hotels...) After this fairytale the receptionist told us they have a problem with the laundry-service. Unfortunately they make their problems the problems of the guests because of course they can walk into a store and buy an extra 100 towels for guests. Some staff really try to be friendly but because almost no one speaks English, the harsh "No!" for extra towels at their own pool, the strange breakfast buffet that lacks logic routing and normal black tea we really do NOT recommend this hotel...

Have stayed in several Ibis and compared to other hotels the room seemed of a lower standard and expensive.

Every Thursdays the competitor hotel organizes parties officially up to 23.00 but in reality far after midnight, then individual people are on place to continue to party by themselves because the competitor has created thoroughly the condition for such a freedom

Disappointing. it felt as though Accor had abandoned Ibis Arles. The hotel staff were very good but the hotel was shabby; the air-conditioning ineffective and there was not one non-French TV station available

I was a bit disappointed with check in and check out: first the staff couldn't find my reservation (made in January!) then told me it was for three nights (it was for four). When I left I was asked to pay a bill of ca €75. This was for meals (which i hadn't ordered or eaten - this was eventually removed from the bill), then for Taxe de Sejour (this is fine and was expected) I also was asked to pay a fee described on my bill (Facture Numero 3718 06.07.19 ) as Pdj Individuelle €7.20 per day. this apparently a single occupancy charge. I don't mind this but I would like to pay this in advance or be told when checking in. Checking out was a very inconvenient time to have to have these conversation as I was in a hurry to get to the Rail Station. As aresult of the rush I think I left my phone charger in my room. which is extremely inconvenient

Room cleanness, restaurant, hotel position, service, personnel, all was very good. Only issue that I could lament is service for payment with credit cards. I found that it fails frequently with VISA and/or Master card, regardless. Several times cards were rejected even though all was OK with them. I've even double checked with the bank, and according to rejected transaction reports, cards provider concluded that rejections were due to unreliable communication between POS and banks. It would be therefore good if somehow this glitch get attended and fixed. Best regards Zoran M.

Third time here... but also the last time

TripAdvisor rating 1.0/5

jwj599 Couples - 10/07/2018 TripAdvisor review

This is the third time we visit this hotel in the last years (always during the rencontres), upon arrival (pre-paid and booked at the accorhotels site) we were told that breakfast was not includedin our booking... showing our reservation where it was clearly stated this solved that problem. As silver member, we didn't get our welcome drink voucher (not that we felt very welcome at all so that matches the experience). Breakfast, bed and bar/restaurant staff are all very competent, friendly and service minded. No complaints at all, but the rooms... they really need a general overhaul asap (the elevator installation was a nice start, but it seems that was all being renovated), rooms have dirty carpets, stains on all walls, screws and nails sticking out from bedside lamps, wall etc. Cracks on the desk, in general worth 1 star maximum. Asking for a late checkout (again, as silver member) was possible until 1.00 pm as the hotel was quite full. Not a real late checkout but full is full so understandable. Too bad, that when checking that I was able to book at least 3 rooms for the same day arrival so full is not-so-full but we decided anyway to leave earlier instead of discussing this anymore. Upon checkout: wrong bar charges... no surprise as the person manning the bar at night just makes notes and apparently they enter charges the next day.. with errors. After this was solved we left... the night before our stay we stayed in the Ibis Budget/Styles Palais de Congres in Arles as this Ibis had to place.. to be honest: it's much better with reception staff more competent. I ma happy that all our Accorhotel experiences in general are good and that this is an exception, but management should make changes.

Overnight stay in Arles

Trip280287 Couples - 09/07/2018 TripAdvisor review

This was our first trip to Arles so fist time we stayed at this hotel. As usual for an IBIS the hotel was very welcoming and the room was clean and tidy with a new comfortable bed. Food was good and well priced and even though we did not use it had a clean and tidy outdoor area with swimming pool. Only criticism was the walk to the centre of Alres from the hotel was a long way especially as the temperature was very high.

Really nice hotel within walking distance of centre of Arles (20 min) or short bus ride (bus stop around corner from hotel). Visited 3 years ago and the hotel has benefitted from refurbishment if pool area & new lift up to guest rooms.

Nice hotel in a convenient location

Daniel R Couples - 04/05/2017 TripAdvisor review

This hotel is conveniently located if travelling by car and wanting to visit Arles. The hotel is currently being refurbished, but this did not affect our stay. The breakfast was good, with a smaller breakfast available from 10 to midday, which was rather good over the weekend.
