The hotel is very conveniently situated when I visit Châtellerault for work. However I find the actual hotel building rather lacking. The rooms are either too small for the beds or the beds are too big. It is rather difficult to move around the room and there is no space to open the suitcase. There is a very useful worktop under the window, but it is not practical to use because of the big box underneath it. I assume that box is a Thord bed if required, but considering the size of the room, it must be very awkward to open. The bathroom is small but acceptable. The hotel lift might need attention as it alarmed over loaded with just three people in it. I did find all the staff I encountered at the hotel to be extremely friendly, polite and professional. The cleaning ladies were very nice and friendly, the man running the restaurant was also. The staff on the front desk, Jesica and her colleagues were welcoming when I arrived and very efficient and helpful with the minor problem I had with the room. In general a very pleasant stay.

First the staff were very nice and helpful. The room was not comfortable as described or for a 3 star ibis. The room was cold. Heating system was not performing well. we stayed 2 nights, one night in one room and one night in a different room due to water and toilet issues.we are Quite disappointed.
